Confrontation

Caroline told Klaus that she needed to go out of town for a bit. Some important work for the school. She lied. It was something important, but it had nothing to do with the school. She was going to New Orleans.

He had moved into her house for a few days while she was in his home. She landed in New Orleans with an address in her hand.

She came inside the Mikaelson Compound.

"Hello?" A blonde woman came outside.

Caroline had no idea who it was.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I could ask you the same question." She looked at Caroline. "Since you are the one who knocked on my door."

"I am Caroline Forbes-Salvatore." She told her. "I am the headmistress at the Salvatore School."

"Oh...kay?" She stopped. "I am Freya Mikaelson."

"As in the wife of...?"

Caroline only knew Finn, Kol, Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah as the Mikaelson family.

"As in the eldest sister of the Mikaelson siblings." She corrected Caroline.

"Ok….kay." Caroline nodded. "I didn't know there was another original vampire."

"No…I am an original witch."

"Really?" Her eyes lit up. "I think I need your help."

"My help?" Freya asked. "Why?"

"It's related to your brother." She explained. "I am not asking for myself."

"Who?" Freya raised her eyebrows. "Kol? Elijah…"

"Yes?" Elijah Mikaelson appeared in the room. "Caroline?"

He looked surprised.

"What are you doing here?"

"So, I assume you don't know." She told him. "We need to talk, Elijah! Urgent."

"Would you excuse us?" Elijah asked Freya, "Come on, Caroline."

Freya Mikaelson shrugged softly and she jogged out of the house. Sometimes, she couldn't understand her brother.

Elijah Mikaelson directed her into the living room.

"Yes..Caroline." He sat down in front of her. "Is something wrong with Hope's result?"

He asked.

Before she could answer, 9 year old Hope came running inside.

"Is she here?" She shouted, "Daddy! Is she here!? I saw her from the…."

As soon as she saw Caroline, her voice disappeared.

"Hello, Mrs. Salvatore!" She smiled shyly.

"Can you excuse us, Hope?" He told Hope, "We need to talk, okay?"

"Can you ask your mother to join us?" Caroline said.

She nodded and ran away.

"Daddy?" She turned towards Elijah. "Really? You did that to your brother?"

"He's been missing!" Caroline said hotly, "And you didn't even bother to find him!"

"My brother is not a child, Caroline!" He almost shouted. "He is the most powerful creature on the planet! You know that!"

Hayley Marshall-Mikaelson came inside the room.

"Caroline…What are you…."

Caroline ignored her.

"You know the state he came to me!" Caroline shouted. "You should have seen him!"

"He can take care of himself!" Hayley shouted. "He left, on his own account!"

"No!"

"I remember perfectly!" She shouted at Caroline, "He said 'you didn't side with me! So, I am going to leave you two to rot here!"

Caroline looked at Hayley.

"He might have said that." Caroline said quietly. "But, he never meant it!"

"He did!" Hayley shouted. "Because he never came back! And, for years!"

"And you two never looked back!" She shouted back, "Did you tell her about him?"

She referred to Hope.

"No!" Hayley held up a finger, "And we are never telling her!"

"Why not?" She shouted back, "He is her father!"

"Elijah is her father!" Hayley shouted.

"I am bringing him here!" Caroline told him, "And you can't stop me!"

"Caroline!" Hayley shouted, "That is none of your business!"

"It's Klaus's business!" She shouted back, "So, it is my business! Hayley!"

"Klaus Mikaelson means nothing to me!" She shouted. "He is nothing! Every moment I spent with him was a mistake!"

Caroline raised her eyebrows.
