Klautz smirked as he helped Selena walk out of the room. He took her to her chambers as he bid her farewell.

Selena smiled.

"Good night Klautz," she whispered as crept into her room.

Little did she realize that Klautz's night had just begun.

Verona was wide awake. In the end, Klautz never came. Not even to pass a greeting.

She had checked multiple times but always found the room empty. With a heavy mood, she had gone to her bed but no matter how many sheep she counted she wasn't able to sleep. Such chronic insomnia had never struck her before.

"I hope he is okay," she whispered as she stared into the empty ceiling.

Klautz's absence made her not only worry about him but also worry about their relationship as well. Did Klautz not come back because he wanted to avoid her? She wanted to be positive but having Klautz in front of her had put her heart in turmoil.
