Most Wanted

On a desolate road, a van pierced through the darkness, its headlights casting an eerie glow on the surrounding landscape. The driver, Asmo, pulled over to the side of the road, shrouding the vehicle in the night's shadows. The engine sputtered to silence, and the headlights faded, plunging the interior into darkness.

Asmo slid out of the driver's seat, his exhaustion palpable as he collapsed onto the passenger seat beside Belzebub. The air inside the van was heavy with tension, and the darkness seemed to amplify the weight of their unease.

Asmo broke the silence, his voice laced with a hint of desperation. "Look, I know you're still angry that I forced you to free that kid, but it had to be done. If we hadn't left in a rush, Gabriel and his army of Transcendants would have descended upon us."

Belzebub's gaze remained fixed on Asmo, his eyes blazing with a cold fury. He seemed to be waiting for Asmo to release him from the divine compulsion that had silenced him.

Asmo's eyes widened as he realized his mistake. "Oh, I forgot." He snapped his fingers, and a faint glow emanated from his hand. "You are free to speak your mind, but..."

Asmo's voice trailed off as he noticed Belzebub's eyes flashing with a murderous intent. "You are not allowed to even harbor the thought of attacking me."

Belzebub's sigh was heavy with frustration. "You expect me to be okay with you turning on me for some human kid you barely know?"

Asmo's expression was somber. "I'm sorry to break it to you, Belzebub, but I'm no longer the Devil you used to know. I've changed for the better, and I think you should too. At this point, it would take a miracle from God to escape the powerful entities coming for your head."

The darkness inside the van seemed to grow thicker, as if the shadows themselves were listening to their conversation. The wind outside howled like a chorus of restless spirits.

Asmo cleared his throat, trying to break the silence that had stretched between them like a taut wire. "So, Belzebub...how's it going?"

Belzebub's gaze remained fixed on the darkness outside, his expression unreadable. "It's going."

Asmo tried again. "I mean, I know we haven't exactly seen eye to eye lately...but I thought we could try to put our differences aside for now."

Belzebub's response was curt. "What's there to talk about, Asmo?"

Asmo sighed, trying to think of something to say. "Well...where did you leave Samson's body?"

And so the conversation began. It was haltingly at first, but it gradually gained momentum as they delved into their shared past and the mysteries that surrounded them.

"Where did you leave Samson's body?" Asmo asked, his eyes fixed on Belzebub's gaze.

"I left it in the safe hands of my most trusted demon. She was reason I even bothered to pull souls out of the depths of the underworld."

Asmo took a lucky guess on who this demon was,"So you left it with Jezebel the Wicked.

Wow!,you must have been really desperate to ditch the body of the strongest man to ever live."

Belzebub replied, his voice laced with disdain, "I was tired of being trapped in that decaying flesh, feeling my dark powers wane with each passing day."

Asmo raised an eyebrow. "So, why were you so desperate to break the curse? You were once the most feared Devil in the kingdom."

Belzebub's expression turned cold. "Because, Asmo, I realized that Samson's body was changing me. It was making me...human. I found myself questioning my own orders, turning on my demons to stop them from carrying out evil acts I personally ordered them to do. I was becoming weak."

Asmo burst out laughing. "Oh, Belzebub, you're so dramatic. You're acting like you're depressed just because you're being forced to do good."

Belzebub's eyes narrowed. "You wouldn't understand, Asmo. You were too busy playing lapdog to the Archangels."

Asmo's smile faded. "Ah, but that's where you're wrong, brother. I have a story to tell.

You see, Lucifer and the others were captured by Michael and the Archangels. They're being held at an unknown location."

Belzebub's expression turned incredulous. "You fell for one of their tricks, Asmo. You got tricked by one of Father's Saints."

Asmo's eyes flashed with defiance. "I was caught off guard, yes, but I'm not foolish. I believe there's more at play here than just a simple victory for the Archangels.

They wouldn't ignore the prophesied Armageddon just to capture our brothers."

Belzebub raised an eyebrow. "What do you think is going on, then?"

Asmo's expression turned thoughtful. "I don't know, but that's why I came looking for you. We need to work together to find our captured brothers and discover the true reason the Archangels struck before the prophesied judgment day."

Belzebub's gaze turned icy. "What makes you think I would ever want to work with you?"

Asmo's reply was blunt. "It's because I'm all you've got left, Belzebub."

Belzebub's expression turned cold as he gazed at Asmo. He couldn't take it anymore - the mixture of emotions swirling inside him was too much to bear.

With a sudden movement, he stood up and walked out of the van, leaving Asmo sitting in the darkness.

As he exited the van, Belzebub took a deep breath, letting the cool night air fill his lungs.

He walked a few steps away, trying to clear his head and process his thoughts. His mind was a jumble of conflicting emotions - anger, resentment, and a hint of gratitude towards Asmo.

He recalled the day Asmo left Hell, defeated and humiliated after losing to Satan. Belzebub had always deemed Asmo a weakling for abandoning their kingdom, especially since Satan was the obvious superior in power and strength.

But now, as he stood in the darkness, he couldn't help but wonder if he had misjudged his brother.

Belzebub's thoughts were a mess, and he didn't know what to make of Asmo's sudden appearance or his offer to work together.

He felt like he was torn between his loyalty to Satan and his own desire for survival. With a sigh, he rubbed his temples, trying to ward off the headache that was forming. He knew he needed to make a decision, but what that was, he had no idea.
