Arch Soldier

I returned to the roof of the warehouse with Gabriel, feeling the ground vibrate beneath our feet. The sounds of battle grew louder, and Gabriel's eyes narrowed, his senses on high alert. "Belzebub is here," he said, his voice low and urgent.

My determination surged, and I demanded, "Put me back in my body, Gabriel. I need to take down Samson." But Gabriel hesitated, his eyes locked on mine. "You're not strong enough to defeat Belzebub alone, Daniel. We need to capture him unharmed."

Before I could ask, Gabriel tapped my spirit's forehead, and we merged into my body. I felt a surge of power course through my veins, and Gabriel's voice echoed in my head. "You are now an Arch soldier, Daniel. Together, we will take down Belzebub and restore balance to this world."

With our fusion, I stood tall, my body glowing with an otherworldly light. We gazed down at the battle below and spotted Belzebub poised to strike Uriel. Without hesitation, we tapped the glass roof, unleashing a powerful energy surge that shattered the glass and allowed us to dive down directly at Belzebub.

We struck with precision, stomping heavily on Belzebub's head and sending him crashing into the concrete floor. As he lay stunned, we struck his acupuncture points. I took advantage of the moment to repay Belzebub for using the same move on me once before.

Once I was confident Belzebub was pinned down, I turned to search for Chris, but he was nowhere to be seen. I turned to Uriel, concern etched on my face. "Where's Chris?" Uriel's expression turned grave. "Belzebub ordered Mrs. Deli and Salome to kidnap him. But don't worry, I'm going after them right away to retrieve him."

As Uriel sped out of the warehouse, We turned over Belzebub to face us but he suddenly began to laugh maniacally. "I'm laughing because I know Uriel will wipe out all the demons, including Mrs. Deli, before he saves Chris from their clutches," he sneered.

My eyes narrowed, and I questioned Gabriel in my head, seeking confirmation. Gabriel's hesitation spoke volumes, and I knew Belzebub's words were true. Without another moment's hesitation, I speed-blitzed out of the building, chasing after Uriel to prevent him from harming Mrs. Deli.

Uriel sprinted through the streets, his feet pounding the pavement in a blur of motion. The demons' cars screeched to life, speeding away from the warehouse with a hail of bullets in their wake. But Uriel dodged each one with fluid grace, his divine agility guiding him through the storm of lead.

"Stop!" he commanded, his voice backed by the power of the heavens.

The cars' engines sputtered and died, their tires skidding to a halt as if frozen in place. The demons emerged, led by Mrs. Deli, their faces twisted in snarls. "Shoot him!" she spat, her eyes blazing with malevolence.

But their bullets never reached Uriel. They hung suspended in mid-air, frozen in time, before reversing course and striking each demon with precision. The sound of a hundred tiny impacts echoed through the air as the demons stumbled, their bodies marked by Uriel's divine power.

His Saber began to form, a halo of light coalescing above his head before splitting into a hundred tiny spear-like projectiles. They struck the demons with precision, marking their bodies and rendering them under Uriel's control. The demons' eyes glazed over, their wills bound to Uriel's command.

"Watch me," Uriel said, his voice low and menacing. "Behold, my true face."

He reached out, his hand closing around Mrs. Deli's wrist like a vice. He pulled her forward, his eyes blazing with a fierce light.

The demons trembled, their bodies beginning to wither and crisp under the power of Uriel's revealed face.

Mrs. Deli's eyes widened in terror as Uriel's true angelic visage shone forth, its radiance burning away the very fabric of her being.

Her body suddenly set ablaze, her spirit trapped and crippled, unable to ever possess another again.

Uriel's gaze never wavered, his eyes burning with a fierce conviction. He believed that demons like Mrs. Deli could never change, that they were a cancer to the world. And he would stop at nothing to eradicate them.

He didn't care that Mrs. Deli was under Salome's control; his judgment was absolute, and his wrath would not be stayed.

I burst out of nowhere, my arms wrapping around Mrs. Deli's waist, pulling her from Uriel's grasp. I shielded her face from his gaze, saving her from the incineration that consumed the other demons. I ran, my feet pounding the earth, as I fled to the grassy plains beside the road. Mrs. Deli's body hung limp, her skin charred and blackened from the third-degree burns.

Gabriel split from my body, his essence flying towards Uriel, who needed a stern reprimand. I was left alone, holding Mrs. Deli's fragile form, her pulse fading with each passing moment. I begged her to wake up, my voice cracking with desperation. I couldn't lose her, not now, not ever. She was like a second mother to me, and I couldn't bear the thought of a world without her.

As I held her, I sensed a presence behind me. I turned to face Belzebub, his eyes gleaming with malevolence. "You can shout if you want to, but I'm not the one you should be worrying about," he sneered.

I asked what he meant, and he pointed to the distance, where a strange entity approached. It was a gloom being, resembling the fictional Grim Reaper. "It's Azrael's little pet," Belzebub said. "You humans call him Death, and he's coming for Deli."

My heart raced as I asked Belzebub to stop Death, but he merely laughed. "Why would I help the demon who betrayed me once?" he taunted.

I turned to call for Gabriel, but Belzebub revealed that angels wouldn't help me stop Death, as it was a natural part of life, and Deli was a demon. I faced Belzebub, tired of his mind games. "What do you want in exchange for saving Deli?" I asked, desperation creeping into my voice.

He smiled, his eyes glinting with mischief. "I don't need your soul, Daniel. Just a noble favor."

I hesitated, but my desire to save Deli overrode my doubts. I agreed, and Belzebub took Deli from my arms, teleporting her to the gates of Hell. As he vanished, he informed me that he still held Chris captive.

Gabriel appeared, asking what happened to Deli. Uriel also emerged, his eyes fixed on me with a mixture of curiosity and annoyance. Instead of answering Gabriel, I rose to my feet and walked up to Uriel, my fist clenched. I punched him in the face, my anger and frustration boiling over. Uriel almost killed Deli, and he failed to save Chris.

The silence that followed was defeaning, as I realized that I had just attacked an Archangel. Gabriel's anxiety was probably spiking, as we both waited to see how Uriel would react.
