Chapter 31: Wasted Love

When Faux was completely wasted, everybody called it quits and started to return to their respective rooms.

Maurice then passed through in front of Argon, she also wanted to clear out their past, it was just a short romance but they both know that it is real.

"Argon…"

"Maurice" he's now embarrassed of himself, he should be the one to approach Maurice first but he was beat to it.

"They have started to clear out their relationships, I think that we should too" they are both thinking the same thing. The both of them also have a thing to clear.

"I think so too" then a long silence had enveloped the both of them, it was awkward but it's bearable.

"I… I don't know how to start but I want you to know that…" his eyes have started to water, their relationship didn't even last a year but until now he's still in pain because of what happened.

"Just forget about what happened 4 years ago, Argon, we both know that our feelings for each other were true and sincere, I know that you have no choice, it was your brother who did the decision not you" Argon can now only cry in front of Maurice,

"It was my mistake, not fighting for you, I should have picked you Maurice"

"I know, I should have also hold on to you"

It is very evident that the both of them still love each other. Both of them are just standing face to face letting out all of their feeling they held back four years ago.

Argon was new to the town, he was staying abroad when he's brother called and asked him to stay with him and help him run his new company.

Without hesitation, Argon booked a flight and followed his brother.

He was then introduced to Kevin's staff and Maurice was the last one, she was late in the meeting.

He didn't know if it was love at first sight or he was just attracted to her,

When he saw her, she was wearing an oversized t-shirt and her hair was disheveled like she just woke up.

"Hello" he greeted her but she only nodded like she's not interested in seeing him. It's been awhile for him to be ignored, he is good looking like his brother and a lot of girls chase him when he was in college.

After the awkward meeting, they saw each other again in the hall way, this time both smiled at each other.

They started to get close as hey further worked with each other.

Having Luna as their common denominator, those kids can really get convincing and they won't stop teasing both of them until they start to see each other on a different light.

After 3 months of casually seeing each other, Argon had started to be more attached to Maurice until he confessed his feelings.

On the other hand, Maurice also felt the same way, not wanting to waste any time, she also reciprocated Argon's feelings.

9 months after meeting, they have officially became a couple.

It was a relationship full of love and happiness, since the two of them are working on the same company and handling the same artist, they didn't encounter any problem at all, on top of that, Maurice have been the most understanding girlfriend and Argon have been the most loyal one.

It became natural for the both of them to keep on updating each other, the trust that they have for each other is beyond one can give.

Anyone who will see them can clearly see the love that both of them have for each other.

But then happy ending are not meant to be if you're not fated to have one, you can love someone greater than yourself but still won't end up with that person.

That's what happened to Argon and Maurice, there is no doubt that they love each other but family and principles are far greater than what they have at that moment.

Eventually letting go what the most important thing they have. Each other.

When argon figured out what his brother is going thru and what he needed to do in order to save the company, he have closed-eyed helped him not knowing his true intentions.

Maurice have eventually figured out what happened and Argon's involvement in the incident, she was disappointed at first but understood why he did what he did. It was his only family.

No resent, no conversation and no break up have happened between them 4 years ago.

They just eventually drifted away like nothing happened and just kept their memories in their hearts.

Work continued at Viewbay, after they announced the hiatus of Mia from Luna and that they have cut ties with Constellation, Maurice can't continue working at Viewbay.

She turned her resignation and worked at Constellation as per Mia's request.

Argon also kept his distance because of his guilt, and it just kept growing every time that they see each other.

"Can we start again?" Argon intently looked Maurice "as friends".

He wanted to start again, call him romantic but he believes on second chance, and this timing was the one that he keeps on wishing on the heavens.

"If heaven permits, Argon, but not now" then Maurice just turn her back to Argon.

"I just wished that heaven will bring us back again" Argon also went up to his room.
