Tears

She happily went towards the wooden door when she was called, she was curious to know what was happening, she was expecting to see a room there.

But what she saw surprised her

It was an open garden like space, on her left side everything was heavenly, there were beautiful trees, a large garden with various colored flowers. The color scheme of this place was all light and was soothing to eyes. It was a scenic beauty.

When she saw to her right, everything here was completely opposite to the one she just saw. It was all black and red, it was like a grotesque view, the trees looked burnt, ashes were lying on the ground, the view was capable enough to make one vomit.

Then she looked ahead and saw a middle-aged guy in a yellow colored robe.

He was looking at her and was waiting for her to move forward.

She went ahead towards him and was now standing closer to him, she can see the guy in yellow robe seemed a bit worried.

"I was supposed to come here earlier but your secretary told me there was some technical issue, what is it?" Ji Woo asked, coming straight to the point.

"Ok let me explain you a few things 1784746523220193" the yellow man said

"Please call me Ji Woo, this number is very annoying" Ji Woo was annoyed with this number system.

"Dear, you are dead, it does not matter what I call you and here we are comfortable in calling dead people with numbers, so bear with it." The man in yellow robe explained patiently but in a commanding tone which meant there was no scope of negotiation.

"Fine please explain" Ji Woo said, she was running out of patience now.

"Ok, so here in the afterlife, we are all dead. I am sure you have already figured out all of this. Now listen to my next words carefully, here after a person dies we calculate all the deeds they have done on earth, we assign a value to each and every action of a human being depending on how happy they made others feel or how sad they made them feel and how many people were affected by their actions, all of this is taken into consideration"

The man in yellow robe continued "All good deeds carry a positive value and negative deeds carry a negative value, then after adding up all the values, if the overall sum is a positive number, even if it is 1 then the person enters heaven, the place which is to your left. Similarly, if the summation is -1 or less then they end up in hell, the place to your right." The man in yellow robe explained.

Song Ji Woo was listening to all of this carefully, seeing nobody was speaking anything, she asked "so? what is my total?" She was waiting in anticipation to know where she would end up and was hoping to hear number 1 or more.

"The thing is you are supposed to end up in hell." The man in yellow robe declared.

Ji Woo was disappointed, she indeed did a lot of bad things on Earth, she bullied people and had affairs with married men, she was now regretting her actions.

"But"

"But what?" Ji Woo asked with hope.

"But, there is something that can be done to save you from being sent to hell. That was the reason why it took so much time to make a decision for you"

"Woah, what is it?" Ji Woo now has hope in life.

"I'll give you one task now, you are not supposed to ask me any questions like why I chose you and so on but you can ask me questions related to the task which if I find necessary I will answer or I won't."

"Ok, what is the task?"

"I am sending you back to Earth for 90 days. I want you to change the fate of a person on Earth, if you are able to change that person's fate in 90 days then I'll put you in heaven and if not then you will go to hell."

"Ok, I have a question."

"Yes?"

"How did I die?"

"You are weird, I thought you would ask me questions about the task, anyway sorry can't answer this question but you might uncover some mysteries about your death if you take up this task."

"Why me?"

"Can't answer"

"Whose fate should I change?"

"You have to find that person yourself, I can't help you a lot"

"Why?"

"Can't answer"

"Ahhh this is so frustrating" Song Ji Woo really annoyed

"I know"

"What if I choose to not take up this task."

"I'll put you in hell."

"Fine, I'll take up this task." She might fail, she knows that but she can go back to Earth and what if she succeeds, she can change her fate and find who killed her.

"Ok, In these 90 days you can see the future of people on Earth but the restriction is you can only see the future of one person in one day, if you miss seeing anyone's future on any particular day then that chance is gone. When you will see the future of the person who is meant to be the one whose fate you will be changing, you will have tears in your eyes. When you will see anyone else's future there would be no tears. Therefore, if you have tears after seeing anyone's future then that would imply that is the target you were sent on Earth for."
