Chapter 46: The Eternal Flame

When my powers finally crumbled and I was released from the debris, what I saw before me was nothing short of a war zone. The cavern had been completely obliterated, reduced to a pile of rubble and dust. My enemies were gone; they vanished without a trace. The creature, its form now twisted and mutilated, lay motionless in the centre of the wreckage, defeated and utterly destroyed.

The air was thick with the scent of smoke and the metallic tang of blood. I surveyed the destruction and slowly walked over to the creature's corpse, feeling a mix of confusion and relief. I had never seen anything like this before—a creature so powerful, so feared, reduced to nothing in a matter of moments.

As I approached, the creature's remaining light flickered and died, leaving behind a soulless husk. Its eyes, once burning with fierce intensity, were now vacant and lifeless.
