The vast, empty area was awe-inspiring for Aelius, who stood in the middle of it, looking around and taking it all in.
He felt overwhelmed, not sure what to do or where to start. He felt small and insignificant in the face of such a vast landscape.
His mind still wandered back to the mysterious person he had met, and he wondered what he had meant when he said It's time for you to make a choice. He couldn't help but feel like he was supposed to do something here, but he just couldn't figure out what it was.
All of a sudden the water underneath his feet started to bubble and a feeling of intense energy filled the dark space.
He felt a deep urge to take action, and his instinct was telling him that something significant was about to happen.
"What's happening?" Aelius asked himself, feeling increasingly uneasy as the energy in the dark space seemed to be growing. He looked around, trying to make sense of the situation, but he could not. He had no idea what was going on.
A jelly-like substance started to form in front of him. He felt a sense of confusion and concern as the mysterious substance appeared before him.
Aelius watched as the jelly-like substance started to move and take on the shape of a figure. He could see that the figure had arms and legs, and he could see eyes, a nose, and a mouth.
He gasped in amazement, "It's me?" It was an exact copy of Aelius but made entirely out of a jelly-like substance. He couldn't believe his eyes, and he was filled with a mixture of awe and fear.
The duplicate Aelius had a demonic smirk on his face as if it were mocking him. He felt a chill run down his spine, and he was filled with dread.
"Hey, loser! It's very bad to meet you!" The duplicate Aelius sneered, his voice echoing in the space.
"You can't outrun your fate," he said, emphasizing each word as if to punctuate the inevitable truth.
"Who the hell are you?" Aelius asked, his voice full of suspicion and confusion. He stared at the duplicate with a mixture of dread and disbelief.
"I'm you," the duplicate said. "I am the version of you that has embraced the fact that our destiny is predetermined, and that we must live it out," the duplicate replied calmly.
"You lost your loved ones, and you just ran away," the duplicate continued. "You never accepted that sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we can't change our fate. This is why I'm here - to show you that sometimes it's okay to accept what can't be changed."
"You're a loser, accept it!" The duplicate said. "We can't escape our fate, so why fight it? We should accept it and move on."
Aelius suddenly became angry. A duplicate of himself told him to accept defeat. Aelius always knew that without power, there was no way he could take his revenge. But at that moment, he decided to fight for his life. He decided to stand up and fight against his fate. He had nothing to lose, and he was determined to prove the duplicate wrong. He had to show the world that he could win.
"Fuck you," Aelius shouted defiantly. "I won't give up. I will never give up!"
With a fiery passion, Aelius stood his ground and declared that he would never back down; his spirit burning with a drive to prove himself and all others wrong.
"Never give up? Take a look at yourself" the duplicitous man said with a smirk as he stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with the challenge.
"Look at your severed hand, your body was broken and beaten. This is the consequence of your pride. I'm offering you a chance to save your life. You can still walk away, so why don't you just give up now and accept defeat?"
"You can rest here forever. Isn't that what you want? You can stay here and never have to face the world again. You can forget all your struggles and just be content here."
Every word of this duplicate made Aelius furious, yet he could not deny the appeal of the offer. The thought of being able to stay here and never have to worry about the outside world was tempting.
His eyes became dull as he thought about the implications.
Aelius's body darkened as his heart filled with resentment and his mind with doubt. He felt as if he was being pulled in two different directions: the desire to stay and the fear of being chained to this place forever.
But suddenly a punch of courage filled his heart and the dwindling flame of hope that had been in his soul began to burn brightly again.
He remembered his oath of revenge and the determination to avenge his loved ones filled him with a newfound strength.
"Ho ho you broke out." The duplicate said with a smirk. "I gave you a chance," the duplicate snarled, "but you chose to ignore my warning and now you will pay for it."
Aelius suddenly realized he had been tricked by his duplicate, who had been waiting for him to make a mistake.
"What do you want?" Aelius was confused.
The duplicate Aelius only laughed in response, his laughter growing louder and louder until it seemed to fill the entire space.
"I want you to suffer!" He finally said, a wicked gleam in his eye.
Aelius had heard enough. He lunged forward, aiming to take down the duplicate, but the duplicate was too quick. It dodged him with ease and laughed. "You'll never beat me," it said. "I'm too powerful."
Aelius didn't give up though. He gritted his teeth and prepared himself for another attack. He knew he had to be smarter this time, and he was determined to prove the duplicate wrong.
He came up with a new strategy that would give him an edge over the duplicate. He carefully crafted an innovative plan, utilizing his skills and knowledge in order to gain a competitive advantage.
He punched at the duplicate's weak spots, exploiting the gaps in their strategy to gain the upper hand. He then leveraged his strengths, such as his resourcefulness and creativity, to further his advantage.
But the duplicate had his own strengths, and he used his agility and quick reflexes to dodge many of his attacks. This created a back-and-forth battle, as the two players jockeyed for position.
Aelius suddenly bent down and aimed for the duplicate's leg, hoping to knock him off balance. His attack was quick and decisive, and he succeeded in jarring the duplicate's footing, sending him stumbling back.
The duplicate's eyes widened in surprise, but a smirk appeared on his face as he regained his balance.
"You're good at this, aren't you?" the duplicate said, admiration evident in his voice.
Suddenly, a dark aura seemed to surround the duplicate. His smirk faded, and his eyes were filled with hatred. "You may be good," the duplicate growled, "but I'm better!"
He felt a deep urge to take action, and his instinct was telling him that something significant was about to happen.
