Will found himself suspended in a space between dream and reality—a boundless black void illuminated by a myriad of stars. Between those stars, countless strings of silver light wove together into a breathtakingly intricate net, forming beautiful constellations and nexuses beyond comprehension.

He stood in awe, eagerly awaiting his boon. The Spell was still appraising his performance. Yet, the first reward had nothing to do with the appraisal.

"Yes!"

A surge of elation coursed through Will, nearly compelling him to break into a happy dance. The Jade Blade was no ordinary Memory—it had belonged to Gryphon, an awakened terror, meaning the Memory itself was of the Awakened rank. Acquiring it was an extraordinary stroke of luck.

He longed to examine the Jade Blade but was given no time. The Spell had completed its appraisal.

Here in the void, its voice was no longer subtle and familiar. Instead, it echoed with the resonance of the cosmos itself. Will held his breath, listening.

[A nameless captain explored the Forge of Creation and ascended the Mountain of Time. Heroes and monsters alike fell to his cunning. Beaten and bruised, he entered the temple of a trapped god and spilled his blood on the altar. The god was bound, yet 'He' listened.]

Will's heart swelled with pride. He reveled in the Spell's praise and hoped for a Divine Aspect—the only way he could survive what lay ahead.

A grin spread across his face. He was an aspirant no more.

His grin widened further. His chances of receiving a Divine Aspect had just skyrocketed.

"What kind of question is that?"

Will closed his eyes and gave his answer.

Will's elation turned to dread as his heart sank. "No, no, no! This can't be happening!"

[The God of Space is displeased.]

[The world barrier is breaking...]

[The God of Space is intervening...]

[Conflict resolved.]

A surge of relief washed over him. "Yes, curse you, Spell! The Space God loves me! I'm going to be his eternal believer because of this!"

He could barely contain his excitement.

[The God of Space is amused by your antics!]

[He's retreating back into the cosmos.]

[World Barrier sealed. Defensive measures withheld.]

Will tilted his head, confused by the new message. "If my hunch is right… The God of Space must've been the one who gave me the Art of Observation. But why can he only break the world barrier for a few moments? And what is this world barrier, anyway?"

His thoughts raced in a chaotic mess, but he decided to shelve the questions for his future self.

His excitement reached its peak.

Will intuitively knew he could mark nine people at most. This ability was far more useful than it seemed at first glance—it made ambushes nearly impossible.

A strange sensation filled him. Startled, Will clutched his chest, staring into the void. Something was awakening deep within him. It wasn't painful or unpleasant—just profoundly alien. It felt as though his soul itself was being stirred, infused with dormant energy that had always been there.

The energy coursed through his body, transforming him. It felt like a star had ignited in his chest, radiating waves of heat that reshaped his bones, muscles, and blood. He was being reforged, becoming stronger, faster, and healthier.

It was euphoric.

When the transformation subsided, the star's heat cooled, replaced by soothing coldness that swept over him. It cleared his exhaustion, sharpening his senses.

His vision doubled.

He saw the black void, filled with endless stars, galaxies colliding and birthing new ones. At the heart of this chaos was a single red star, larger than the rest and utterly empty. Surrounding it were two spheres of light: Traveler's Life and Jade Blade.

The Spell's voice brought him back to reality.

This was the moment of truth.

He quickly opened his runes to examine his new ability. A grin crept across his face. "It seems my path to ascension is similar to Sunny's."

The void spun violently, and Will vanished.
