Shadow Slave: Divergence of Hereos

In a multiverse teetering on the brink of chaos, unlikely heroes from lands far away emerge inside of a world filled with Nightmares. This isn't just the journey of a Young Shadow anymore. No, it is the story of multiple new figures and characters that will change the world. This is about the path of the young King, as he claims his rightful throne. This is a story about the resurrection of 'The Fool.' Yet it will not just stop with these 2, as many new other characters join into this world. How will the Dream Realm react, to the addition of these new monsters? ... I do not own the cover or any of the other characters inside of this fanfiction. All credits go to their original creators

Chapter 29: A new Beyonder

Chapter 29: A new Beyonder

"As your will commands." The World bowed in a dramatic manner to Mr. Fool, as he waved at him to continue the conversation.

"Now let me tell you the formula ingredients…Essence of a Harrowing Wraithcaller, Blood of a Chimeric Nightspawn, Crystallized Whisper of a Grimhowl Specter, a Shadowclaw from an Eclipsed Lurker and a Dormant Soul crystal." The World spoke.

The Emperor was a bit flustered by the names but then realised he could pray to Mr Fool to remember these names again.

"Now these are the ingredients I require…Heartstone of a Voidweaver Maw, Veilthread of a Shadelurker Wendigo, Nightmare Dust of a Riftborn Revenant and 5 Dormant Soul cores."

This was what Klein needed for the sequence 8: Clown potion.

"This…is an unfair trade." The Emperor spoke, as he heard the long list of items on top of the cost he had to pay The World.

"I am not done…what I am about to teach you now, is something that is going to help you considerably when you become a 'Beyonder."

Klein then proceeded to teach The Emperor the acting method.

He was obviously not going to let the Beyonders inside of his club to lose control since they didn't know the acting method.

After the discussion, Klein allowed Cassie to be able to hear what was going on again.

"I am about to enter the solstice in about 1 month." Cassie spoke, to which no one said anything.

"Is there any advice that I could be given?"

"Sure, take it as free advice." The World spoke. Klein had decided that he was going to use 'The World,' more of like a father figure in the Tarot club this time.

"Make sure to make friends. It is hard to survive in the Dream realm without allies. Be sure to gain as much information as possible as well…"

Klein gave her genuine advice to the semi-depressed prophet.

He could see that she was not very trusting in her ability to survive in the future so he wanted to guide her a little bit.

Somewhat like Justice had done to him before.

With that, the Tarot Club meeting had ended and everyone went back to their original locations.

"Can you leave me be!" Sunless shouted in an annoyed tone, as he entered for lunch into the dinning hall and saw me immediately.

It became routine for me, to come during all meal times, something Sunny never missed. Probably since he didn't take having a good meal for granted.

"Do you actually want me to leave?" I questioned.

"Yes!" Sunny growled. Well that hurt, since this man couldn't lie.

But still, I ignored him and continued to follow him.

As we sat down in our regular place, I couldn't help but notice that this was the first time in a long while Cassie had left her room.

Well it was monday night…which probably meant she went through a Tarot meeting. Maybe something someone said is making her come out to interact more.

I had spent the majority of my time training with my trio, annoying Sunless and sparring with Nephis.

Sparing with Nephis was definitely entertaining, since I did want to get closer to most of the main cast.

Sunless and Nephis are people whose power will see a dramatic and drastic rise in the future, so it didn't hurt to be close friends with them.

Also, speaking with someone who is a walking talking truth book is very humbling.

Unlike any rich kids who were pretentious, or even a Legacy whose sole reason to be here is for networking and assassinating Nephis, Sunny was fun to hang around.

Especially since beyond his tough exterior, he just wanted friends.

For the past few days, I have seriously been meditating on what it means to be inside of this new world.

It had already been a while since I had arrived into this world, and most of the time I had spent swinging Ruyi Jingu.

Soon, my combat capabilities would be put to the test inside of the solstice, where I still don't know where I would be sent to.

There is also my Flaw, being a Prisoner of my own Will, which I didn't fully understand what it meant.

But what I did know, is that it wouldn't be long, for my training to be put to a test.

Something I didn't intend to fail.

After all, it's just the Winter Solstice.

(Harvey Specter)

After returning from the meeting, Harvey prayed to the fool and jotted down the massive list of things he would be needing soon.

It wasn't that getting these items was impossible. Quite the opposite actually. As one of the leading lawyers for the Mundane people in this world, Harvey made millions from his clients.

Money was not an issue for him.

It was just hard to explain why a mundane human would require these materials. He was lucky that some people already knew he had an interest in the Awakened world.

After passing the list of items to his secretary and asking her to get it sorted, Harvey contacted one of his clients that still owed him money, to transfer 10,000 Credits to a numbered account The World asked him to send to.

He didn't want anyone in his office poking around asking too many questions, and he could now just tell them that he gave them a haircut on the legal consulting fees.

Perks of being the Managing partner of a law firm. Especially since he built it from the ground up and he mainly tried the cases in his firm, no one questioned his ability to get the job done.

Luckily for him, most of the Nightmare creature materials that The World had named were relatively common even in the walking world, so he was able to get it by that night itself.

He also had gotten the crystals The High Priestess needed early, so he sacrificed all the items he had to pay the duo through a ritual Mr. Fool had taught them.

Harvey tried to not be surprised but watching the items disappear in front of him did strengthen his belief in Mr. Fool a little.

For now, there was little to no knowledge regarding The Fool.

But Harvey believed that eventually as he progressed in the Sequences he would know about The Fool.

But this all begs the question…how far up the sequences were The World…and Mr. Fool?

...

Authors note:

Unfortunately this isn't a continuation of the fanfic. I simply had a couple of spare chapters I wanted to upload.

I am currently trying a new project, which is basically my own novel but I will be uploading it as a fanfic since honestly I write mainly for interaction with people.

I write to share ideas and run through scenarios with people, so I hope you will try my new project out.

It is called "Eternal Heir."

Do not subscribe to patreon for this fanfic anymore thanks.
