He’s sick

I had noticed him sleeping, I felt his head, warmer then my cold hands are, far more.

I dragged him to my "bed" and placed a blanket over him.

I walked to the other side trying to find a cloth, I ended up ripping some of my robes off, dipped in cold water and walked back.

"It's cold, it feels nice." His voice became soft and sweet.

"Bad child getting sick when I'm only around, see you shouldn't leave your windows open." I scolded.

[I'm the child? Is he older then I?]-Thought the prince.

"I'm the child?" He questioned softly.

"Empress is coming," I muttered.

"Stay here." He softly spoke.

"Her majesty, the empress arrives!" A loud gentle voice had shouted.

"Greetings to your majesty," I muttered.

I felt a hand being grabbed tightly, "Your majesty, I've caught a mere cold, there's no need to worry about me."

"I simply visited to inform you that, the banquet for foreign visitors will happen this evening, all official household members must attend." Her gentle voice spoke.

"I see." He whispered.

She left, I believe.

"We shouldn't go," I said.

He gripped my hand tighter, "Why should you and I not?"

"Dangerous, far more then you think." I muttered "I'm not a fool, they'll try to have me killed so I can't teach neither of your brothers or you, the ways of my swordsmanship."

"So? I still want to see who dares." He whispered softly.

"Not in your condition your not, dare say only the most foolish of the fool shall dare go in such a weak position." I replied.

"Fine then you shall go in my place, but don't do anything stupid." He muttered.

"As you wish your highness." I replied.
