The ride to school was quiet, besides the radio playing. Normally, we found random things to talk about during the ride but for the first time, I had nothing to say. I guess my mom understood because she gave me the space I needed.
/"Okay, I will see you later./" My mom said as we pulled up in front of the building.
/"Okay, see ya./" I stepped out of the car, focusing on the one place I did not want to be today, school.
I walked into the building, trying to avoid any eye contact with anyone. Some people seemed to walk right pass me, going about their day. But some seemed like they were staring at me but I just think it’s all in my head.
I headed toward my locker, dreading the idea of confronting Kiera and Keisha who might be waiting for me there.
