Staring at the intruder's face Xiao Mei immediately put her phone on the table and tried to go near Alpha who was fuming without a reason.

Sir, what happened to you? Are you all right?" She moved forward slightly limping on the right side and helped Alpha to pick up the files from the floor. "Here, everything is up now."

She said happily, putting all the files on the table. She turned around to look back at Mr Yamata only to flinch on her feet as her nose collided with the alpha's nose.

The closeness of alpha started to smell like her favourite aroma of cinnamon. Regardless of how pheromones took her breath away she still felt the serenity in his territory.

"Sir, you are standing too close." She mumbled while her gaze was everywhere but at him, "Can you please move?" She asked while backing away but alpha was adamant.

"You are not allowed to take personal calls while in the office hours."He moved closer to her, capturing her between him and the table.

"But there is no rule like that in our office. When first entering this office, you specifically told me that this is my phone and I can take my brother's call anytime. It can be an emergency as it is his first time in a foreign land."

His steps immediately retreated from her when he heard it was just her brother's call. He looked everywhere to get the right excuse to tell her as he knew she was going to ask for an explanation for his uncanny behaviour.

"Sir, what is it? Why do you get so angry?" She asked as if mocking him.

"You alpha...why you are so dominating?" He muttered under his breath looking down but soon his face lit up as he found a perfect excuse,

"I was not angry but checking on you. After all, when your brother left this country, he specifically asked me to take good care of you."

When she heard him she couldn't stop but feel amused by his care for her all the time and remembered his every help from day one when she shifted into a new flat and started the job after Xiao Xing left for the States.

He was there for everything in settling, learning new job skills, exploring everything about the new city just like her shadow. She was thankful to him for everything he did for her and feeling a bit guilty she apologised for her teasing.

"I am sorry for misbehaving. I was just trying to tease you." She said looking down at the floor "And sir, why did you come here? You could have just called me. I would have done work anyway."

"No, actually I was passing from this side for some other work and these files are really important so, I thought I will give you these files by myself." He said while checking the files and giving them to her.

He sat down on a chair while she checked the contents of the file with shock in her eyes.

"Sir, why? I mean I have just joined and you want me to take a look at your new project?" She asked in disbelief.

"I don't want you to take a look but I want you to work on it. I know many seniors and talented people are working here but I want someone whom I can trust blindly." His gaze on Xiao Mei, almost captured her soul "I trust you blindly. Would you like to join the team? If yes, then read the file in the office and call me. I will let you know the details. If you don't want to work on this I am perfectly all right with your decision. I don't want you to take the burden of something which is not yours."

Smart and dashing alpha got up from his chair, he turned to leave the office but stopped at the door before opening it.

"Only one thing, you can't tell even a single word of this project to anyone, not even Xiao Xing."

"I just don't understand why today's kids are so much after maintaining their figure. Xing Xing, you better finish all La Zi Ji." When Mo Nuwa summoned everyone in the kitchen to make only Mo Yuan's favourite dishes for lunch, just looking at the table Xiao Xing felt his tummy full.

"Grandma, you know when it is a matter of food, I don't think of anything but this is too much. Not only is my tummy full but my mouth is also in pain because of chewing." He spoke while putting the next piece of chicken in his mouth.

"Grandma, I am not used to having three meals a day." He mumbled his next words without thinking and the next second he discontinued speaking.

"What do you mean by not being used to having three meals?" Mo Nuwa asked in a gloomy tone.

"Grandma...I...that...I..." His nervousness immediately made him stammer in his words but thanks to Mo Jin's entry, he got saved.

"Grandma, he was in the hospital for a few months. They must be giving him calculated food according to his recovery."

As Mo Jin said it he came and sat near to Xiao Xing who was looking down at his plate in anxiety.

"Yuan ge, you must eat well. You need to get fit before your wedding." Mo Jin said while feeling his plate.

"Yuan ge, grandma would love to play with your babies. She has been waiting desperately since you turned 18." He said smiling brightly and then looking at Mo Nuwa he said that made Xiao Xing cough hard,

"Oh, my child..." Mo Nuwa got up from her chair and went near Xiao Xing as she saw Xiao Xing coughing hard. Patting softly on his back when she gave him a glass of water her full attention turned to Mo Jin.

" A-Jin, what's with teasing? See what happened to him. Don't do it ever again." Mo Nuwa scolded him so furiously that made him jerked in his place. "Dear child, don't worry. I don't want a grandchild right now. I want you to live your life with Jayden first."

She sat down while saying this and looked at both her grandchildren alternately.

"A-Jin, you know marriage is not just a licence to produce the kids or getting a mate. It is a bond that connects two different people for life."

"But grandma, don't you want a grandchild now?" Mo Jin asked in confusion.

She smiled brightly as she proceeded further,

"Yes, I desperately want a grandchild right now but I don't want them to lose the charm of knowing each other before getting the third person in between." She glanced back at Xiao Xing before gazing at Mo Jin,

"Your brother is an omega. When he will get the baby, it will get difficult for him to pay attention to Jayden for the first year and I don't want them to be like that this early."

"Love is not about just a feeling or the sake of some ritual. It is that connection that two people feel for each other. I don't mind even if you have a baby after two to three years of marriage. I just want you both to be happy."

She looked back at both the children who went into deep thought after her words and got up from the table, slowly retreating her steps to her room.

"I hope you got my message, Xing Xing. I want you to be with your love no matter what." Mo Nuwa murmured while she looked back at Xiao Xing who was still immersed in his thoughts but immediately his phone rang and he took it without seconds of delay while going back into his room after seeing the caller's name on it.
