Chapter 106

The maid put Yuna down when they reach the ground floor, letting her walk unassisted.

“I’m sorry, P’Mil, but she wanted to go down,” said the maid.

“That is okay, khun. You can leave her to me.”

“Shall I get your guests something, P’?”

Mil asks the others if they want anything, but Sun and Ren shake their heads.

“I think we’re okay here, khun. You may go back upstairs,” replied Ren to his helper.

“Okay P’. I will just fix her bedroom,” said Yuna's nanny.

Being strangers to Sun and Ren, Yuna goes directly to Mil. Ren cannot help but get overcome with the opposing feelings of joy and sadness at the same time. Joy because this is the first time he is able to lay eyes on his adopted daughter, and for the first time, too, their family is complete. Sad, on the other hand, because this scene – all three of them together – will never get a repeat after this day.

“Who izt he Papa Miwl?” asked Yuna, standing beside Mil and looking at Ren’s.
