"I think it's better we go and meet them now and explain everything to them" Roselle suggested, and they all agreed.

 If they were people who have lived longer than they had, it was their parents. And just this fact makes them more experienced, they've seen worse things that they themselves could never imagine. There is a saying which goes like this ' It is better to speak out and find a solution than to die in silence ' this was their only option. Who knows they could unveil something of greater importance.

 After they've all agreed on what to do Steve and his sister decided to seek them out but to do that they need to Know where they were exactly. Selom decided to connect a mind link with her mother "Let me find out if they are all in one room" she said looking at them this was the least she could do in return for the good massage she got from Steve.

"Okay then" they replied

"Mom, where are you?" she said in the mind link

"I am in my room honey, is anything the matter? Do you need my help for something?" Teresa asked 

"No mom, where is Aunt Clara and godmother?"

"They're here in my room,what's the matter, are you feeling uncomfortable?"

"No mom, we would be coming to meet you guys now" She said and immediately cut the link.

***** Back in Teresa's room

"What's the matter, you look lost" Clara said looking at her.

(sigh)"I just finished talking to Selom, she said they are coming over here"

"Here? is anything the matter?"

"I don't really know, she didn't say much at all"

"So what are you planning to do? Teresa said looking at Clara.

"What am I planning to do about what? Eva?"

"No, you should know what she meant by her questions. you haven't told Steve about travelling back home have you?" Beatrice said, looking at her.

"It's not as if I am running away, of course I will tell him before going and the reason I am leaving as well but the girls don't need to Know anything about it. A business trip would be the best excuse"

(sigh)"That's the excuse I used when Ken travelled and surprisingly Selom didn't ask after her father at all."

"So he doesn't know that his lovely daughter is pregnant?" Beatrice said with a warm smile

"He doesn't" Teresa replied with a long sigh, how strange. She had no way to contact him and even if she did, she wouldn't stress herself, because it would be just a waste.

"Clara had thought about getting him drunk then she would present the news to him when he was back from the trip but he didn't return as planned. Something must be going on there, if not,he would have gotten his brothers and brought them back here"

"It's evident enough, I haven't heard from Tina as well, she didn't even communicate with her own daughter. so it means things are bad, the only way we can find out is when you go there and please if you do no matter how hard or bad it turns out to be, find your way here. you have my goddaughter's life in your hands" Beatrice said looking sincerely at Clara. They were all worried about her but there was nothing they could do, they just had to pray she would return safe and sound.

"I can't make any promises but I will do all that is in my power to bring myself back here. Clara said sadly, she had a lot she had to think about,she was not sure of what could happen next and what was going to befall her there. She just hoped the war that happened a thousand years ago had nothing to do with her, if not she would die in self blame. She would blame herself for what happened to Selom, Roselle, Lylic and Steve; she deprived them of a very good childhood. She just had to unveil the truth but she was also afraid of the same truth.

Seeing her looking so depressed, Teresa and Beatrice felt sorry for her and went round her giving her a tight hug as a means of comfort.

After a while they could hear a knock on the door "I think the girls are here" Teresa said sounding very excited. Apart from the part they made her walk around the mall shopping, she had nothing to do with it.

"Come right in" The three women replied and the siblings immediately got into the room. Steve held Selom behind her waist as a means of support. The siblings got inside the room.

"Darling, is anything the matter?" Beatrice said observing Selom carefully

"No Aunt, you don't have to worry, I am going great" Selom said with a smile, the women immediately got up, while Teresa directed Steve on where to help keep Selom. Following her direction, Steve walked beside the other place of the bed at the edge, which was resting on the wall, helping Selom to sit down, Teresa immediately placed some pillows at her back for support. Everything around her was made of about a hundred percent cotton, the bed, the pillows, the couch and almost everything she cuddles. Cotton is very soft and comfortable.

At this stage of pregnancy Selom could barely walk all by herself, she felt her belly was dragging her whole body forward. And her waist was always in pain, this is the pain women had to go through to bring children into the world, it isn't as easy as it looks or feels. It is more difficult than anyone could imagine, only those who had passed through this same stage could understand.

After Selom had been placed in a relaxed position, it was now time to come clean. "Aunt, Mom, godmother. Steve has something very important he wants to say" Selom said looking at him, giving him the 'Go ahead' signal

"Should we be worried?" Clara asked, because all the kids were looking very serious. so she needed a hint so she can be well prepared

"It's not something you should be worried about, it's just something he just found out about recently" Lylic responded

"Okay then, you can go on" 

"I can't read a human thought" Steve said going straight to the point

"Is that what you want to say?" The three women asked

"yes" He said nodding

"It's normal honey, your father is a human, so it's normal to have such a trait from him." Teresa said

"Yes dear, Is that in any way affecting you?" Clara asked, these women didn't feel surprised at all, it seems they had expected it.

"Aunt, that's not the case here" Lylic said placing both her hands on her waist. It made her look so serious and awkward as well.

(looking confused) "What's the case then? " They all asked

"He can read our thoughts but he can't read theirs. He could even read both your thoughts as well" She said looking at Clara and Teresa. this was because they were higher immortal and legend had it that their thoughts cannot be read by Minor immortals

(laughing) "That's because we allowed our children's access to our thoughts' ' Beatrice replied. looking at the confused look on their faces she smile "Children there's a lot you don't understand about your powers and true form. That's because you all grew away from home, have you ever wondered why no body could read the old man's thoughts? '' she continued

(They all gave a negative nod but a guess won't kill) "Because he is Older specie" They said

"Have you tried to lock-in your thoughts from being read by him before?"

"yes we did" The girls replied, most of their childhood days were with the old man and they had to confess it was a difficult one because they always had a feeling that he was always following them and watching them closely.

(smiles) "And what happened when you tried that?" Beatrice asked, placing her head in her palm as she listened.

"He still read our thoughts" The three girls replied, they've tried that many times when they were kids but it didn't work, all they thought was that maybe it was because they weren't doing it properly but he still did that when they grew older and stronger.

"As you grow Older, have you girls tried it out?"

"We did and it still didn't work" They said sounding very depressed 

"The only person who escape him later on was Selom, she went far away from home " Lylic said. This was actually the truth, they had stayed longer with the old man and since the old man knew what had transpired between them, he let them have their way. Sometimes you could barely tell he was their grandfather, this is because he calls them Young mistresses and not the normal title 'Grandchild' or 'Granddaughter '. If he calls them by their names then it means they were dead. They've gotten themselves Into a terrible mess.

"Steve Darling your mom would lock her thoughts and then you will try to read them, I and your Aunt would do the same" Teresa continued

Clara immediately locks her thoughts as Teresa instructed. After a few minutes "Could you read them?" She said looking at her son "No Mom, I couldn't" he replied

Now it was Beatrice's turn, "Darling could you read mine?" she said with a smile. (keeps mute) "I think I did" Steve replied sounding surprised

"So what did I say to myself?"

"I hope he reads it" he replied

"Wow, you really read it, that's what I said exactly" she said with a smile

(smirks) "I knew you would play around when the atmosphere is serious. You're worse than Lylic" Roselle said

(laughing) "At least one of my children took after me" She said proudly

"Why are you always so playful? This is a very serious matter and you're joking around" Clara couldn't help but glare at her

"A little fun doesn't kill, I have forgotten how to lock my thoughts" Beatrice responded "Don't you think it strange? I just wanted to confirm if he really could read our thoughts, you know it takes more energy to read ours compared to reading his sister's thoughts. So how could he not be able to read Human's thoughts, it takes no ounce of energy"

"It all made sense, I think the best person in the position of answering this question is Dad, we should call him over" Teresa suggested

"That would be awesome, I haven't seen the Old man since I came. I am sure he is already aware that I am here" She said smiling evilly.

"Mom, why do I feel that there's a strong story between you and the old man?" Lylic asked, she felt there was something in her mother's smile.

"There is a lot, when I was little I kind of poisoned the old man countless times"

Teresa also couldn't control her laughter, the memories were so funny that her eyes were streaming with tears. Beatrice was really a pain In the ass when they were little. Clara only heard of the story, that time she wasn't with them, she hadn't known them at that time.

"You girls would have asked what her offense was that gave her such a punishment?" Teresa suggested

"Mom, what did you do?"

(laughs)" The Old man was good with poisons and I knew he could read my thoughts no matter the barrier, so to be safe I would wait till he leaves. Then when I was till little he paid a visit to the Heavenly palace every morning, that's my best opportunity. I would poison his tea and wait for him to come back home. When he comes back he would take the tea but nothing would happen to him , I continue doing that everyday, until I lost confidence in my own poisons

It was already very late in the night but no one was feeling sleepy, they all had enough time as they listened to many stories about their parents. "Tell us more" Lylic insisted

"There was a time, we girls wanted to sneak away from home. We all had a specific spot we did meet and the plan was to be available at that place by 9:00 pm. The Heavenly prince, the second prince, was holding a Wing party. It's more like the prom event after high school. It requires a costume, we told our parents about it but they weren't willing to buy us the costume and said we wouldn't attend the event. 

This Event is one of the best, and any girl would be lucky if she was chosen by the prince. They had announced this event to the whole realm, visiting every family one by one so there was no one our parents didn't know about it. But we insisted, we got our savings and went shopping ourselves preparing for the big day. The big day finally arrived and as planned we arrived at the spot as planned but guess what?"

"Your Mom was missing" She said looking at Selom. "She didn't come to the venue as planned, so we assumed she got caught by your grandfather, we thought about going back to get her but the thought of being caught too gave us goosebumps. So we had to rethink it"

"Yes we had no option, But on our way we felt so sorry for Teresa and Tina decided to sacrifice herself for a good cause. While we moved ahead to the palace. We even stole the pass from the letters sent to our parent and successful we got in"

"Mom, what happened to you" Selom asked
