Chapter 19

"So if you don't mind, you could fix a good day for dinner, in the best restaurant in town. The bills would surely be on me" he continued with a smile. It seems he had really thought deeply about the matter.

Teresa was pleased to hear this. She knew how fair their President was in handling issues. She could tell at a glance that he felt depressed. Such a thing has never happened before. She thought about declining the dinner but on a second thought, she understood that he was trying to show his sincere apology. She couldn't turn him down. 

(Smiling)"President, I must say I was quite disappointed at first with what had happened to my daughter. But my daughter accepted it already. Who am I to keep malice with the hospital and its officials? I am also a doctor here in this hospital as well. And I am also a human as well, so I am not above mistakes. But as a mother all I wanted was justice for my daughter, I want the truth to come to light. With your promise, I am rest assured.(smiling) With all that being said, (pauses for a second) I would find a good place for dinner. Thank you very much.' ' Dr. Teresa said sincerely. They've all known her for years, she was always sincere about her words.

"Since this has been settled, Dr. Clinch has already adopted the minutes in this meeting" President Kelvin said

"Shocked", "when did I do that?" He asked

"Dr. Clinch, do you have a problem with what I just said?" President Kelvin asked

"No, No, No, Not at all. I agree with every word" he said, sweating. He was in a dilemma. He has never adopted a minute in a meeting before. He doesn't even know what it means to adopt a minute in a meeting.

"I would employ the IVF Unit to bring out a reasonable report to me in a month's time. If not, they would be held responsible for all the expenses. I now declare this meeting closed" The president said getting up and leaving the room. Based on his rank, he was allowed to leave first.

After the president had left, Steve and a few members followed behind him. Since they have agreed to the amount which is to be used for compensation, they had to process it immediately. Steve had a lot of paperwork to do, so he couldn't stay to keep his Aunt and Mom company at all. So he left them behind, before leaving he gave them a signal using his eyes and getting a smile from them. He left the room.

Clinch, who was as confused as an unknown element, had a frown on his face. He was so embarrassed he wanted to ask his friend Patrick about what the president meant by adopting the meeting but he felt ashamed, he had just annoyed his friend and he felt like he should also apologize to Dr. Teresa, because of what he had said about her daughter.
