Sipping on her champagne, Reyanna was perched on the edge of the inner balcony, lost in her thoughts. Beside her, Caspian hummed a joyful tune, his eyes glinting with mirth. As he noticed her scowl, Caspian's expression turned curious, and he gave her a questioning look.
"Is something bothering you?" Caspian asked, his voice filled with concern.
The angel sighed, her frustration evident on her face. "It's nothing... I'm just feeling a little hot. The temperature here is much warmer than what I'm used to back home. I suppose I should have anticipated it."
Caspian nodded, understanding her discomfort. "Why don't you wear one of those light, flowing outfits that angels are known for? "
"But this is an official ceremony," Reyanna protested. "There's no way I'm wearing one of those 'skimpy outfits.' They are considered far too offensive morally by many."
Caspian chuckled, finding amusement in Reyanna's exasperated expression.
"It's true that you would be a hit with that kind of outfit! What a pity..." Caspian remarked, admiring the freedom of dress that angels possessed. "That's one thing I love about angels: your freedom of expression. I admire your audacity to not conform to societal norms. I hope to one day find the courage to confront the social code of my people. I don't lose hope."
Reyanna listened attentively as Caspian expressed his desire for change. She understood his longing for freedom and self-expression. "After the ceremony, I'll invite you over, and we'll have a fitting time together," she offered with a smile. "You can try on different outfits, and you can choose the ones that resonate with your true self. It will be a step towards embracing your own style and breaking free from societal expectations."
Caspian excused himself from the conversation, mentioning that he had an important meeting to attend to. Reyanna nodded understandingly, knowing that he had his own responsibilities to fulfill. She watched as Caspian walked away, his presence commanding and purposeful.
As for the type of meeting Caspian left for, it could be a meeting related to his role as a representative of his father's interests at the ceremony. It could involve discussions with other dignitaries, negotiations regarding trade agreements, or strategic planning for future endeavors. Caspian's involvement in such meetings showcased his involvement in the political and diplomatic affairs of his family, highlighting his dedication and commitment to his responsibilities.
Finally left alone to her own devices, Reyanna decided to take a walk in the serene garden located on the side of the wing where she was staying. The garden was a sanctuary of lush greenery, adorned with vibrant flowers and delicate fountains. As she strolled along the winding paths, a sense of calmness washed over her, easing her troubled thoughts.
As she strolled along the path, Reyanna allowed her mind to wander, temporarily escaping the complexities and intrigues of the palace. The beauty of the garden served as a balm for her soul, its tranquility providing a momentary respite from the pressures and expectations that weighed upon her.
She found solace in the scent of blooming flowers, the gentle caress of a soft breeze, and the harmonious melodies of songbirds perched in the trees. Each step she took further immersed her in the natural serenity of the surroundings, offering a brief reprieve from the tensions that had filled her days.
The angel lost track of time as she wandered through the garden, and eventually, she found herself drawn to a tranquil fountain that beckoned her to rest. Exhausted from her exploration and in need of respite, she settled herself on the edge of the fountain, allowing her weary legs to dangle over the edge.
The sound of water cascading into the pool below provided a soothing melody, and the cool mist that rose from the fountain refreshed her senses. She closed her eyes, taking in the serene ambiance of the garden and allowing herself to be fully present in the moment.
" The garden is much bigger than I thought," Reyanna said out loud. " and you haven't seen half of it," a sweet voice suddenly answered behind her.Reyanna turned her head, startled by the unexpected response. "Bellatrix....I didn't hear you come," she said, embarrassed by her reaction. Her heart was pounding.
"I apologize for the frigth."
"It's my fault.... I should be more on guard."
Bellatrix approached Reyanna with a warm smile, sitting down next to her. Fiddling with her hands, she glanced around but didn't dare to look her in the eye for fear of losing control of her emotions.
The demon was more radiant than ever. Dressed in clothes of unparalleled refinement, the lavender seams of her indigo dress beautifully highlighted her hair. The angel found it difficult to take her eyes off of her.
Reyanna's heart raced as she admired Bellatrix's ethereal beauty. The way the soft fabric of her dress clung to her figure, the graceful way she moved—it was mesmerizing. She had to remind herself to maintain her composure and not let her emotions betray her.
"I feel guilty for the state I put you in," the demon began, her voice laced with genuine concern. "I hope I am not making you feel uncomfortable in any way." Reyanna looked at Bellatrix, her eyes filled with a mixture of vulnerability and admiration. "No, it's not your fault," she replied softly. "It's just... the way you make me feel, it's both exhilarating and overwhelming. I'm not used to this kind of connection." Reyanna slowed down as she spoke while blushing. She was realizing what she was saying and couldn't help but hide her face in her hands and stammered an apology.
"I... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to blurt that out," Reyanna stammered, her face turning even redder. She felt a mix of embarrassment and vulnerability for expressing her feelings so openly. She slowly lowered her hands from her face, peeking through her fingers to gauge Bellatrix's reaction.
Bellatrix's laughter filled the air, her amusement contagious. Reyanna couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of lightness and relief wash over her.
