Seeking Solace in Chaos

Reyanna stepped into the grand courtyard of the castle, greeted by a vibrant crowd that filled the dirt floor. Pages scurried about, attending to the guests and weary newcomers who, exhausted from their long and difficult journey, anxiously awaited assistance. In the midst of the bustling chaos, Reyanna quietly navigated her way, yearning for a moment of tranquility in a secluded corner of the courtyard. Chapter 1

Oblivious to her arrival, the pages carried on, failing to acknowledge her presence. Zorion, her lone guard, dismounted from his horse and started unloading their humble belongings.

As the minutes ticked by, the two angels patiently awaited their turn to receive attention, their celestial presence unacknowledged. Finally, an exhausted page approached them, hastily extending an invitation to follow without even offering a formal welcome befitting intergalactic nobility. Reyanna couldn't help but smile, realizing that this was what it felt like to be practically unknown to high society. Surprisingly, she found the experience rather pleasant. The angels embraced the anonymity and relished in the tranquility it brought along.

Beside her, Reyanna noticed a family of four making a grand entrance on the backs of chorcamols, massive creatures with metallic-hard, purple skin native to the planet Masanchia. The sight made her frown, as she couldn't comprehend why some individuals still relied on these animals as a means of transportation.

Reyanna couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for the majestic chorcamols. She believed that these magnificent creatures were far better off roaming freely in the wild than being confined to the castle courtyard in the capital of one of the most significant planets in the intergalactic realm.

Intrigued, Reyanna lifted her gaze to catch sight of the person emerging from the main palanquin atop the largest of the three mounts. She was curious to discover who would warrant such a grand entrance and what their significance might be in this esteemed gathering. Her eyes scanned the palanquin, eagerly awaiting the revelation of the individual behind this conspicuous arrival.

With a sudden jolt of recognition, Reyanna's eyes widened in awe as she realized that it was none other than the illustrious imperial family of House Veridion.

Reyanna nodded knowingly, the pieces of the puzzle falling into place. It made perfect sense now. The House of Veridion, with their insatiable attachment to opulent displays of wealth, were renowned for their grandiose and extravagant approach whenever they graced Astralium Prime with their presence. The bustling courtyard and the extravagant entourage surrounding the imperial family were all in line with their penchant for excess. The capital city came alive with an air of anticipation whenever the Veridions visited, as the city's residents eagerly awaited the lavish spectacles and extravagant affairs that were sure to follow. Reyanna couldn't help but wonder what lavish surprises and grand gestures the House of Veridion had in store for this visit and how their excessive presence would influence the atmosphere of Astralium Prime. The stage was set for a mesmerizing display of wealth and grandeur, befitting the renowned House of Veridion.

"You may follow me, my lady," the pale-skinned Page interjected, his voice devoid of enthusiasm as he interrupted Reyanna's train of thought. His lackluster bow carried only a faint hint of reverence, further accentuating the absence of genuine respect. Reyanna's keen perception allowed her to pick up on the subtle cues and discern the underlying disdain directed towards the angels. It was not uncommon for the demons, known for their extravagance and grandiosity, to seize every opportunity to display their contempt for  angelic beings.

Reyanna, unfazed by the Page's demeanor, chose not to dwell on his dismissive behavior. She understood that she had a purpose in the castle that transcended the demons' disdain, and she was determined to stay focused on her mission. With a silent nod, she acknowledged the page's instruction and began to follow him.

"We requested special accommodations for our two Pegasus. Has that been taken into account?" Reyanna inquired, her voice poised and confident as she followed the Page who trotted ahead of her to compensate for the height difference. Zorion, her steadfast companion, followed closely behind her,  with his reassuring presence.

The two majestic winged animals, Reyanna's beloved Pegasus, followed the group without a second thought, their graceful strides matching the pace of their human companions. As the page turned around, he caught sight of the attentive and curious expressions on the faces of the Pegasus. A hint of embarrassment crossed his features, realizing that these sentient creatures were eagerly awaiting their fate, eager to know what would befall them in this new environment.

"Well... I think something has been arranged for this," the Page responded, his tone laced with annoyance as he reluctantly acknowledged the request. Sensing his displeasure, Reyanna remained composed, understanding that demons' contemptuous treatment  often extended to accommodating the needs of the angels and their Pegasus.

"Allow me to ask the senior intendant," the Page continued, his voice tinged with a touch of reluctance.

Without waiting for a response, the Page swiftly trotted over to a demon who was issuing instructions to the bustling Pages that darted in from all sides. Reyanna and her companions paused, knowing that their guide had gone to address the issue of accommodations for their fellow travelers.

Deep within the realms of the intergalactic realm, the Pegasus had become an endangered species, their once abundant presence now reduced to a dwindling few. Their majestic wings and ethereal beauty had captivated the imaginations of beings across galaxies, but their very existence was at risk. Few people truly understood the unique nature of these mythical creatures, often mistakenly treating them as mere horses.

Reyanna gently placed her hand on Lumina's muzzle, feeling the soft touch of her pearlescent white and radiant silver coat. Lumina, her loyal companion since childhood, had been by her side through thick and thin. With a tender smile, Reyanna sought to reassure Lumina.

"Don't worry, Lumina," Reyanna spoke softly, her voice filled with determination and empathy. "We will find a solution. I won't allow them to confine you to a cramped stall during our stay. It would be unbearable for a free-spirited creature like you. If necessary, we'll find an open space where you can roam freely. I promise to protect your freedom and well-being."
