He doubted if this was really the Leila everyone talked about.

She looked at the confusion now in his eyes and picked a glass of wine from the tray a waiter held as he walked past them.

She took a sip with a sly smile and turned around, almost bumping into someone.

Irritation washed through her body. The dance was over and there was hardly anyone on the dance floor, so why would someone decide to stand behind her?

Her gaze travelled from the white platform heels through the peach gown and to the face of the individual who was standing behind her.

The lady was fair and plumply. Her peach dress was of a V-neck design. Around her neck was a silver necklace similar to that of her small hoop earrings.

Her hair was packed in a neat bun with a few strands left to fall at the side of her face, highlighting her oval face.

She had on bold make-up that made her stand out.
