Reunion (1)

Later that evening, the Twin Lions Sect threw a massive banquet to celebrate Wu Xianhai's return. Kai was invited as the guest of honor, seeing as he was the reason she had been able to come back in the first place. 

Kai looked around the large room where only about twenty youths were gathered and chatting merrily. Kai was out on the balcony, looking down into the valley below. He noticed hundreds of outer disciples going about their normal business of chores and training. A stark contrast to the festivities he was currently enjoying.

"Mr. Kai, are you not enjoying the party?". Wu Xianhai asked from beside him, drawing his attention back to his surroundings.

"My thoughts are just preoccupied at the moment...". Kai responded while shrugging his shoulders.
