13. Her Existence
Chaerin opened the door of the apartment and the darkness welcomed her as the windows were closed and there wasn't any way for the sunlight. She turned on the lights and headed to Jimin's room. First, she checked all the drawers and then down the pillows but couldn't find the dolls Jimin was talking about. Standing in amid the room she was thinking about where to find the dolls.
Suddenly she heard a creaking sound of the door, She saw the wardrobe the door was slightly opened, She was certain about the door being closed when she had entered the room. She was afraid slowly walked towards the wardrobe. She glared at the dolls which were perfectly fine and kept inside as someone intentionally put them.
Chaerin hesitantly took those dolls in her hands, She felt coldness on the back of her neck as someone is standing right behind her, Her heart thudded in her chest she could feel the drops of sweat dripping down her neck and on her forehead. She slowly turned back, Her eyes wandered the entire room but there wasn't any sign of someone's presence.
"Was she Sunmi?" Chaerin asked herself, Although Chaerin wanted to avoid she couldn't deny the possibilities of her existence in Jimin's room as she had been appearing in his dreams and was hurting her. However, it was the first time when Chaerin had felt her existence around her. "Perhaps I'm alone or maybe I'm thinking about her too much," Chaerin was trying her best to calm herself down but the fear was merely raising.
She closed the wardrobe headed towards the living room. Just in a few seconds, she was standing outside of the apartment. She looked at her both sides and the loneliness was the only thing she could feel even in the brought daylight Chaerin was frightened. She was a strong girl who had never been scared of someone even in the night but this time the case was different. She had never encountered a ghost.
Chaerin became sad when she thought about Jimin who was feeling this fear every day. She wanted to make him get rid of all the terrible things but she was helpless with all the thoughts in her mind she came down to the parking lot and made herself sit in the car.

Jimin was uncomfortably sitting on the bed with his face down playing with his thumbs to avoid eye contact with Mr. and Mrs. Kim who had come to see him as Namjoon had told them about the incidents happening with him. And the curiosity had pulled them in the hospital while sitting on the couch Taehyung was observing the awkward situation he could see the disappointment on Jimin's face but preferred not to say anything.
As he wasn't in a mood to argue with them.
"Look at him he got so weakened he even have dark circles why didn't you tell us before we would help you?" Mrs. Kim said.
"But you don't need to worry anymore this time we will hire the best doctor for you," Mr. Kim added.
Jimin looked at him in bewilderment he could estimate the evil plan Mr. And Mrs. Kim were trying to make but before Jimin could speak anything Taehyung interrupted, "Are you both dumb or pretending to be dumb, Can't you see that he doesn't need a psychiatrist, He needs someone who makes him rid of Sunmi," Taehyung said.
"How the hell did you talk with us in that way?" Mr. Kim yelled. "Do you seriously believe what he's saying," He said?
"Yes, I believe on him Chaerin had seen him being hurt in his nightmare," Taehyung replied.
"Taehyung we care for him we want to help him that's why we've decided to hire the best psychiatrist for him," Mrs. Kim added.
"Oh seriously, you care for him that's why you steal his company," Taehyung said, "I always used to wonder why you always seem desperate to prove him as a mentally ill person but now I get it you're afraid that if he lives an ordinary life so he might take his company back from you," Taehyung said in a one breath Mr. Kim was boiling with the rage he came closer to him and slapped on his face. Taehyung left the room in anger and now Jimin was aware of what was going to happen to him.
"What game you're playing with us, Why you're using my kids against us?" Mrs. Kim said clenched her teeth.
Mr.Kim came closer to him grabbed his hair and squished his jaw, "Tell me the truth now why you're doing this? If you're thinking about the revenge then let me clear one thing that you're nothing but a mere weak human who can't even Dave himself," Mr. Kim threatened.
"No, I'm not lying Sunmi appears in my dream she hurt me twice and asked me to help," Jimin said swallowed his tears back.
"Who is Sunmi?" Mr. Kim asked tightened his grip on his jaw made Jimin groan in pain.
"Dong–Dong Hyun's daughter, she's dead and asking me to help her I don't know why she's haunting me in my nightmares but believe me I'm not lying," Jimin said the tears he was trying to hold back now rolled down his cheek and he gulped in pain.
Mr. Kim now loosen his grip pushed him away, "How is that possible," He said in bewilderment.
"Whatever it is why you're worried about him so much?" Mrs. Kim asked.
"Can't you see how he's using our Kids against us I'm afraid that one day he will ruin us all," Mr. Kim said glaring at him.
There was an awkward silence in the room suddenly a flower vase in the corner of the table flew in the air and hits Mr. Kim's head and he screamed in pain. Mrs. Kim came closer to him, "Are you alright honey?" She asked.
"How can I be fine you idiot," Mr. Kim roared at her. Glared at Jimin as he would kill him at any moment. Jimin was shockingly staring at him, "Omo, Is he possessed with a ghost?" Mrs. Kim said, her eyes were filled with the enormous fear staring at Jimin she crawled back.
Once again a flower vase flew in the air and this time it hits Mrs. Kim's head she now screamed in agony they both rashly got up and walked out of the room as they both were afraid of Jimin while Jimin was trying to figure out the situation. He felt chilly it seemed the room temperature was getting down and He looked at front of the bed Sunmi was standing in front of him her face was covered with her hair but her fierce eyes were staring at the door. She seemed angry with Mr. And Mrs. Kim.
Jimin was numbly staring at her he was too shocked after seeing whatever just happened. Chaerin entered the room, "What happened here I saw Mom and Dad they were badly injured are you alright," Chaerin said made herself sit on the bed she saw his hair was strangled, he had a fingerprint on his face, His eyes were teary and he was staring at Sunmi but Chaerin couldn't see her. "Jiminah, what happened?" Chaerin asked shook his shoulder.
Jimin's gaze now shifted at her hand holding the dolls. He took the dolls and now realized why Sunmi had forced him to take those dolls as she wanted to protect him she wanted to stay closer to him so that she could protect him. The dolls were the source of the link between them.
He got up from the bed limping on his feet he came closer to Sunmi. He hold her cold hand, "That's why you had given me those dolls," Jimin said with a vague smile on his face.
"Don't you remember I had promised you that I will save you from all the evil people," Sunmi said caressed her hand in his hair?
Jim nodded, "I remembered I had promised you as well and I will obtain my promise," He replied.
"Jimin whom you're talking with nobody is there," Chaerin said in a trembled voice.
"No, Sunmi is there today she saved me from your parents," Jimin replied.
"Jimin can you see her?" Chaerin asked she was afraid that Sunmi will hurt him again she made herself stand next to him, "Please stop hurting him I'm begging you," Chaerin said.
"Tell her I won't hurt you cause you're important for me as much as for her," Sunmi said.
"She said she won't hurt me cause she cares about me as well," Jimin replied.
"Then why did it all happen?" Chaerin turn back and asked him. Jimin looked at Sunmi before he could ask anything further she was already disappeared, "I don't know," Jimin replied he then came back on his bed staring at the dolls he was smiling while Chaerin was confused it seemed that Jimin was losing his mind. But she could not let this happen she would never let anyone ruin him anymore even if she have to go against her parents.
