Something To Say
As things started to go as he predicted, Edward Carson was trying his best to keep his rage in check. He knew Enea Morelli well and he wasn't foolish to let anything out.
He knew very well that doing it would be like digging his own grave.
"Are you saying that you will forgive me if I give up on the deal and the leash I have on Daniel Valos?" He asked Enea Morelli. "Will you be able to trust and cooperate with me again?"
Putting aside the bitterness he felt at the moment, he was curious. He knew how the Don struggled in trusting others and after what happened, he doubted that it was possible for Enea Morelli to trust him with anything again.
Enea Morelli didn't respond to Edward Carson's question right away as if he was debating on his mind. Then after what felt like hours, his response was, "We will see that."
