Application

Over the last few days and weeks, I have worked on this on my desk with a lot of paper markings that have crumbled up.

I met up with Sara from time to time to discuss her research into creating teleportation marking, but we are at a dead end.

"Ugh! This shit is difficult! I'm heading to sleep." I yell in frustration, closing my eyes to nap. To refresh my brain.

It felt like minutes to me before I woke up again. To a different ceiling than the one, I am familiar with at my desk.

"I don't know this ceiling," I mumble to myself, getting up to look at my surroundings.

"Aho! You're awake!" I look at the familiar voice and wonder where it originated from. Oh, ew.

"What's with that pitying look, you mongrel? Whatever! You must stop your research on the teleportation mark," Azathoth exclaimed loudly. Pointing at me with a serious look in her eyes.

"What? Why? How did you know I was researching that?" I reply in a shocked tone. I'm wondering why I should stop. Why is she telling me I should stop?

"Because I already have the mark. But it's incomplete, you could say." Az hands me a small piece of paper with random symbols to show a marking.

As I look at her in shock and confusion, she tells me, "Yog and I agree that you can venture outside and explore. As long as you come before midnight and one of us comes with you. That's the rule."

"Wait, how did you know I wanted to explore the world?" I questioned her.

"Oh, I was inside your mind that one time when you met up with Sara." Oh, that's why I felt mana before it was inputted and pulled from me.

"But you said it was incomplete; what do you mean by that?" I ask in confusion and curiosity.

"The teleportation is not precise; it'll teleport you to the location you placed it at, but teleport you meters, inches, or even miles away from where you placed it. It isn't precise yet." Az states, scratching the back of her head.

"Did you make this?" I ask in admiration and praise for Az. Knowing she is praise-hungry.

"Yes! I am the mighty Azathoth! I made this in a matter of seconds!" She looked mighty when she said that. But something tells me she spent many days without sleep trying to make one.

"Tck." Az scoffs, embarrassed by my thought. Her face says it all.

She reminds me of a college student studying for a test the day before.

"You should test it out later. But you seem eager to join the tournament in search of a champion." How did she know?

"I just do, I am the Goddess of Wisdom after all! Hohoho!" Az screamed in a jumble of amusement.

"I hate you so much." She says it snarly, giving a pissed look.

"I hate you too! Glad we can agree!" I cheekily smile at her to piss her off more.

"Ugh! We go tomorrow; bring Sara too; she'll be our guide around the place. Goodnight." Az says, stomping away. Why would I sleep again, though?

I just slept!

Now I have to look up at the ceiling, contemplate life, or something.

I stare at the ceiling, thinking about my advancements in this world. I want to advance further. Further than these medieval people.

Perhaps I'll be a scientist or an engineer, or both, just to get there.

Ah, I'm getting drowsy.

I close my eyes to sleep once again. On this cold, rock-like cave floor.

I wake up hours later with bed hair on my desk somehow. With a blanket over me.

I can only guess it was my sister taking care of me.

The truth is that I knew this, but I think she likes me somewhat. Very weird.

"Morning Poly. Get to work now; today is the end of registration for the tourney." Yog yanks me up and orders me this as I wake up. Can't I enjoy the morning peace first?

"Alright, I'm up. Where's Az? She's coming with me." I say, still half-asleep.

"She's in your mind as of right now, so go on. I have to train these people here." She points at Ite and my sister, who are training each other.

I see them wave at me in greeting and then say goodbye. It seems they know I'm going out.

Then I waved back and prepare to leave the cave and apply for registration.

I call out to Vijaya, but I find her lying on the ground, still asleep.

So I grabbed her up and carried her out of the cave with me.

I walk out of the cave, embracing the outside air. Until I realized.

"Why am I just surrounded by girls? This isn't a harem?" I mumble to myself at the discovery of this newfound knowledge.

I need a guy to talk to.

My memory of the past helps me to follow the paved pathway to the kingdom.

I looked off into the distance at the kingdom walls and remembered I was wanted.

I need a disguise.

I run to a nearby bush and slowly put the sleeping Vijaya down on the soft grass.

I use Gaia's Treasury Gate to find a disguise for myself.

Pulling out a pair of goggles, a blue and purple cube hair tie, a dark blue vest, a white button-up shirt, black dress pants, a black and dark purple striped tie, and a long white lab coat.

I dressed myself up quickly and thought of a name to go by to further hide my identity.

Ah, I know!

I will hide under the name—
