Professor Light

"Welcome, boys. Come in!" It is Charles who opens the door.

After entering his house, Katerine immediately comes towards me, leaving her room.

"You came!" She exclaims.

"Of course..." I reply.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Katerine. You must be William, right? My father told me that you also know how to use magic, just like your brother!" Katerine approaches William and speaks almost as if she were speaking at a different speed.

"Nice to meet you, I guess..." He replies awkwardly.

Going to the backyard, she watches me with her hands on her hips, with a very bold smile.

"Okay, Okay. How do I use magic?" She asks.

"Sit on the floor." She immediately follows my command. "Close your eyes and concentrate." I say, and she follows. "Focus on the "wires" that exists in your body." I complement.

A few seconds passed, and William and I just watched.

" Hmmmm..." She frowns. "I can't! I can't find any wires!" She exclaims.

This is going to be a lot harder than I thought...

"William, can you explain it to her?" Maybe if a child close to her age explains it, she will understand.

"Well, just imagine that you have a wire all over your body and concentrate on keeping it activated." He says

This was better than I thought...

Again, Katerine concentrates with crossed legs sitting on the grass.

After a few seconds pass, she opens her eyes.

"I think I got it!" She says excitedly. "I feel like I have several ribbons on my body, is that mana?" She asks.

"Probably. It amazes me that you figured that out so easily." I say.

She should be able to feel the mana without much difficulty due to her physical development.

Normally, children fully release their mana at the age of 5 or 6. Katerine is 3 years old, like me, so she should be able to feel the mana more easily than I when I started to release mana.

If we're lucky, in three months, she should be able to release the mana.

After that, we spent the afternoon training in Charles' backyard.

While Katerine focused on releasing her mana, William and I did other training.

I practiced controlling the roots and making them grow around me. They are still small and look more like bean sprouts, but I believe that over time I will be able to improve them until they become strong roots to hold back enemies.

My brother trains by doing push-ups and sit-ups in different ways. He applies magic to his body to become more resilient and withstand more sets.

I just pray he doesn't skip leg day...

As we trained, the sky became cloudy and gray; apparently, rain is coming.

Taking a break to rest and drink water, I see the rustic wooden clock hanging on the wall.

[17:30]

It's getting late. I think it's time to go.

"Hey, William, I think it's time for us to go home." I say.

Katerine opens her eyes the moment I say this.

"I think so too, we've already trained too much today..." He says tiredly.

"I can't stand sitting here anymore either..." Katerine says.

Apparently, we are all tired.

"By the way, Katerine, where is your mother?" I ask since I rarely see her.

"She works in the kingdom as a hairdresser, so she comes home late."

Now it's explained...

"I think we better hurry before we get rained on." I say looking at William.

After saying goodbye to Katerine and Charles, William and I returned home.

Halfway there, raindrops begin to fall on our heads.

The rain is weak, but we need to go faster before it gets worse.

When we get home, the rain starts to get a little more aggressive. For the rest of the day, rain fell incessantly on the ground.
