I take a deep breath as I see myself and my old companions at the table;
It was at the time I arrived in Legorio that I began to drink
This is my way of avoiding problems, or at least making them less apparent...
Even though they're still here, I try to suppress them so they don't suffocate me.
And now, I found William, a boy who reminds me of myself as a child. Children often dream of achieving great things, and William doesn't escape that, but he really has the potential to become what he longs for.
Suddenly, my vision starts to become clear. I try to close my eyes, but I realize that they were already closed.
The image of the tavern slowly disappears, as if it were made of smoke.
I finally open my eyes, and realize I'm not home.
In fact, I'm face down on the counter of the tavern where I stayed yesterday...
It's morning, and the ray of light that comes through the door and hits one of the bottles on the shelf makes my eyes feel sensitive.
Lifting my head, I feel a strong pain, which gradually dissipates. My mouth is completely dry, and I'm dying of thirst...
I must have a hangover...
I don't remember anything about what happened yesterday...
The only memory I have is drinking 4 glasses of an alcoholic drink.
Looking at the surroundings, no customers are here, it's probably quite early.
A door next to the shelf opens, and coming out of there, the bartender from yesterday notices my presence.
He is a man with a mustache and partially bald.
"You woke up." He says. "You had too much to drink yesterday." He speaks.
"How many glasses did I drink?" I ask with my voice a little weak.
"There were so many that I don't even remember..."
"But I paid, right?"
"Don't worry, you split the bill." He answers.
"Who did I split the bill with?" I don't remember taking anyone with me yesterday.
"With some clients you were challenging."
"Sorry, but I don't remember anything at all." I speak. "Can you tell me what I did yesterday?"
The man gives a small sigh as he picks up a glass and begins to clean it.
"You arm-wrestled most of the customers." The man speaks. "You were saying that if someone beat you, you would pay, but if they lost, they would have to pay your bill." He adds.
Apparently, I beat everyone...
"And I managed to win?" I want to make sure I have no debts to be paid...
"Yes, you beat them all." The bartender responds.
At his response, I let out a sigh of relief.
After saying goodbye to the man, I returned to my guest room.
On the way, I felt a little dizzy, but I managed to stay upright.
When I got to my room, I remembered what I had thought about in my dream, and I opened my drawer to get my necklace.
The necklace was simple, but it had an amethyst in the pendant.
This is the only thing I have since I left my homeland of Pandora.
It was a birthday present from my father. He was a samurai in the army, but he did not have an important position.
My mother was kind and always worried about whether I was eating vegetables.
I should have stayed at Pandora. Why did I have the stupid idea of leaving there?
I wonder where my parents are. Would they still accept me if I came back?
What is that? Am I tearing up?
Ha, it's been a while since I felt my own tears. I think I'm getting weaker with time...
By the way, what day is today?
Because I think I need to sleep...
