Chapter One Hundred Ninety Six

Hans was reading the notes of some of his patients when someone came up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. He was suddenly surprised and nudged the man in the stomach in annoyance. But the man just laughed at his reaction.

"Don't do it, Doctor Warren!" snorted Hans.

Warren just smiled widely and put his arm around his shoulder. "Okay, but no promises. What are you looking at?"

"Patient records. Shouldn't you be doing a room visit? Why here?" asked Hans while checking the last record.

Warren muttered under his breath. Then he put his mouth close to his ear and whispered, "I miss you, baby."

The man's words made his body shiver and his face feel red. But he tried to stay calm. In front of them were several nurses who were watching. He then removed Warren's hand from his shoulder and returned all the notes to the nurse.

Then, without looking at the man, he rushed off.
