CHAPTER 21: CONVERSATION WITH JAKE

Days without Colton seems like my days were lacking. I used to see him every morning or at night before starting or ending my day. He gave me happiness and my baby were always kicking when she / he could feel the presence of the father.

I came out from the company building at lunch break and bumped into someone. "Oh, I am so sorry. I was not looking." I apologized and looked up to the person. "Jake!"

"It's o-okay! Shana?" he said while scanning me from head up until my tummy. "Y-you're pregnant." His eyes were widening of disbelief. "I did not know you are married already."

"Well, I am not actually." I smiled. "Where are you going?" I asked as I changed the topic. "I am grabbing for lunch, want to join me?"

"Actually, I am going text you to meet me but since we met by chance then count me in." Jake replied as we walked towards the restaurant nearby.

We got our orders, the server left. We were sitting away from the crowded tables so that we could talk. "Now, tell me about that." He was pointing my tummy. "My guess, this is something to do with your boss, Mr. Colton Torres." He added.

"Ssshh… In addition, do not mention names, we are in public for God's sake. Why did you say that, Jake?" I asked raising my brows. "Why are you mentioning him?" I added.

"Well, he called me one time asking for your personal number, remember? Correction, Zari's personal number which is not actually Zari because those time it was you who became her on that night you met him at the fashion event. And I mentioned already to you so that was my hint if you are not married but an angel inside your tummy is the evidence." he grinned looking at me. "I know you too well, Sha. We grew up together and in the same hometown so do not deny it to me."

I heavy sighed and nodded. "You are correct about him. I did not tell him about this baby because he was thinking I was Zari, my sister. We met again after the show; it was the time I went with George at the club and ended up to his house. And that was one time only." I detailed Jake about the moments with Colton. "But we became close as a Shana, his workaholic employee."

"I understand on your part, Sha. I know and I see how hard for you to tell him that you have a twin sister that you pretend to be her." He sighed. "Zari is engaged and I think it will be soon that they will start to plan the wedding, I think."

"And she mentioned to me about being engaged. Our families were happy that she is happy with Leo." I said, sipping my tea. "So, what will you do then if Zari will stop modeling?"

"Zari and I decided to put up our own modeling agency for the youth who wish to be a model."

"That is nice plan both of you decide. I know you two were eager to be in that kind of field you have right now. You were inseparable since day one you two been." I smiled, thinking about them when we were younger.

They have been closer and closer, and I was too with George.

"How come Zari did not mention to me about your pregnancy thing?" he asked me about my tummy again. I wanted to drop that subject but Jake was always this curiosity inside. His personality will never stop from it until he is satisfied.

"Because she does not know about this and even my families, I haven't told anyone about it." I pouted while thinking on how to tell them. I know this is very difficult but I have to endure it for a while. "Only George knew."

"Well, you have to tell them or Zari especially because she would be hurt for not sharing it to her. You know how much she loves you the most and you are all alone with this."

I nodded. "Yeah, I will tell her once she will call me or see me." I speak. "Please do not mention about the father of my child." He nodded.

"Then she told me they will visit your parents too. She will be here next week for her show." Jake stated. "We are going to be here for a while and she will see you with that."

"Okay, thanks for the info and I will definitely talk about it." I said tapping my fingers in the cup.

Our foods came and we started digging. We did not mention anything for a while but concentrate our foods. When we were done, I sipped my green tea and so was Jake.

Jake and I reached my company. "You take care of yourself, okay!" Jake kissed my cheek. "Call me if there is a problem. I am staying at my condo."

"Okay, do not worry about me. You have to enjoy yourself too. Besides, George is nearer than you." I grinned. Jake shook his head then rolling his eyes. "Your sweetheart is waiting for you now so go."

"Okay, okay. Just be careful, will you?" Reminded me again.

"Yes, madam!" I giggled, he laughed too. I saw him waving goodbye as he grabbed a cab. I walked slowly towards the entrance door of the company.

I know I should tell Zari my situation before she will get mad at me. Knowing I am alone in my unit. I sighed as I pushed the elevator button going up to my floor.

'So much trouble you've got there, Shana. Very nice one.' I sighed again.

'What would Zari think of me now?' Of course, she will not happy I got pregnant without even had a relationship. She knows me being conservative person.

But here I am now, keeping big secrets to everyone I love. I am such a mess this time.

But it was not intentional having this in my life rather a great blessing.

I hope my family will still accept me.
