CHAPTER 20: A HINT

ZARI

I was standing at the lobby waiting for Vince when somebody approached me out of nowhere. He seems to know me nor we met but I, myself, have not seen him before.

I looked at him unsure and he was confused with my reactions. I do not really know him and no clue at all. We chatted before Vince came to us. It really bothers me that he knew me like we have connection and if he is Vince's cousin I should have known or remember from the moment he recognized me.

However, it was the opposite Colton reactions had it all. I shook my head; maybe I really did meet him somewhere.

"Hey, what are you thinking? You seem was spacing out. Is this something to do with my cousin?" Vince asked as he buckled his seatbelt. "You were quite after we left at the hotel. You really know him, do you?"

Shaking my head, "That's the thing. I do not even remember meeting him at all or maybe I saw him in the news or something. But personally, no." I told him honestly. "You know I do not usually mingle everyone in my job."

We were going to a fancy restaurant to eat our dinner before going back to NY tomorrow morning. We were going to meet my parents and other members of the family for our wedding plans.

Eventually, I have not yet told anyone at first about the proposal except my best friend Jake. I told him our plan that time and he was very supportive best friend ever since. People very close to me knew how I am me being super crush to Vince. I always tell them that one day I will marry him. It was just a teenager thinking at that time but did not know it happen.

I told my family and even Shana after months being engaged. They were happy, all of them.

"To be honest, yes, I keep on thinking if I have met him before but then I could not remember him at all knowing he is your cousin. The way his reaction when I told him that I do not even know him and his eyes were shocked." I said looking at Vince.

"Well, I also do not recall I introduced you to him before because we seldom see each other. He is a very busy man and with the way you see his reactions maybe he met someone else." Vince said as he glanced at me while driving to our destination.

"Oh my gosh!!!" I screamed as Vince suddenly stepped the breaker.

"What the ...." he said shockingly.

"Ooops! Sorry Sweetie! My mistakes…" I apologized as I covered my mouth. "I shouldn't have screamed when you are driving."

Vince kissed my forehead. "Luckily, there were no cars behind us." He said and started driving. "Why are you screaming? I thought there was something wrong."

"Now, I got a hint who he met." I grinned while Vince raised his brows. "I think my twin sister Shana. Jake asked her to be me if I could not make it to my modeling job. Nobody will notice if she was me because Jake will make it look like the real Zari. I get it now." I said smiling like an idiot.

"Really! Now, are you Shana and not the real Zari?" Vince said teasing me. He already saw Shana thru my photos in my phone with my family too. I slapped his chest as he was laughing.

"Stupid." I shook my head and rolled my eyes on him.

He continued driving the road until we reached our destination. While parked the car in the restaurant, he turned to face me.

"I was joking sweetheart. I know it is you with me now because you may be the same feature in some way but my heart knows who I love." He then kissed my lips before going out from the car.

I smiled knowing his answer. I cannot wait to see my twin and a lot of chatting to do to catch up with our lives. I miss her and everybody in our family. I have been gone quite long and this time I am not alone anymore.

I did not expect that Vince and I would click. I thought a person like him would just play my heart. He is really serious about us, about me. We met in person during the event about racing competition. I was one of the guest models.

We were invited to a victory party. Vince won on that day. One of the sponsors introduced us, not just only me but all the models. When he was in front of me that day, I kept telling myself to calm.

My heart keeps saying that he really is the one for me. Not just my high school crush the first I saw him on Tv. My ambition was so high but at that moment who cares. It was just me who knew what I was thinking about him.

We shook hands too but I could feel the spark as our palms unite. When I looked at him, he felt that too then he let go of his hand. He did not say anything but talked to others. I was a little hurt that moment.

Trying hard to ignored the pain and acted cool until it ended. But fate keep crossing our paths. We even stayed in a hotel across each other.

From then on, getting to know each other became friends and we secretly dated after that.

We had our reservations already. We got a very nice and private view. It was always romantic ambience whenever I am with him. I always fall in love over and over again.

"I already order our foods so that it won't waste our time waiting." Vince said as he squeezed my hands. "I love you Zari, you know that."

I gave him my sweet smile. "Come closer." He leaned forward and then I gave him a kiss. Well, it was only a peck but he capped my face so he can kiss me deeply. Of course, I kissed back the same as he did.
