"I missed you so much."
As soon as Gu Di’er woke up, the first thing he did was look for her. And An Yao had just returned.
He couldn't contain his longing, and his arms tightened around her. He gently smelled the fragrance on her neck and was reluctant to let go.
An Yao felt like she was being squeezed so tight that she could hardly breathe, but she didn't stop him.
Instead, she asked with concern, her eyes curving, "How do you feel now? Are you uncomfortable anywhere? Hungry?"
Gu Di’er shook his head and then nodded slightly, "A bit hungry."
"I'll prepare some food for you! Wait!" An Yao pressed him to sit on a stone bench in the courtyard, then disappeared into the kitchen.
Gu Di’er watched her leave, and a faint smile appeared on his usually cold and aloof face, showing genuine warmth.
