“So you think I deceived you, and you're blaming me for it?”
Upon hearing all of this, she didn't display any signs of shock or dismay.
Instead, a tinge of sadness appeared on her face, and her beautiful almond-shaped eyes welled up with mist. Her rosy lips were tightly pressed together.
The fiery anger that had been burning in Gu Di’er's heart seemed to be extinguished by her tears. It was as if her tears were a cooling balm that soothed his fury.
His heart, once burning with rage, was now wracked with pain. He reached out a large hand to gently wipe away the tear at the corner of her eye. His voice was tender, as if afraid to startle a cloud, “No, I don't blame you. How could I?”
How could he possibly blame her?
He loved her so deeply.
Even if she had deceived him, what of it?
She had come to find him, after all. That meant she still had him in her heart. As for the unknown male by her side... well, he could easily take care of him.
