Training Tristen ( Part 2 )

" Wow, I feel—-I feel so light, and—and free, what is this feeling? "

Tristen questioned whilst looking down at his hands, trying to understand the changes in his body

" Well, it's natural for one to feel better when they finally are able grasp the capabilities of their body "

Shu replied, answering yet not answering the boy's question, as he himself didn't know how to, when it came to mastery of sanctuary energy, Shu was simply a novice.

" Well, It feels great! "

Tristen yelled, making Shu smiled, only to look up, watching as the boy jumped into the air, swinging his arms and legs all over the place in an attempt to hit Shu

" Well by the looks of it, it seems I'll need to teach you how to actually fight, and as for what to focus on—— "

He whispered, to then grabbed Tristen's arm to the slam the boy against the ground, stealing the boy's ability to breath if only for a few seconds

" You'll need to improve in speed "

Shu added, finalizing his judgement upon the boy's abilities to fight.

" What do you mean improve my speed? I feel faster than ever before! "

Tristen yelled before jumping into the air, grabbing onto one of the branches, swinging himself toward a tree seconds later, using his feet and legs to jump over to another, starting to do so over and over, endlessly repeating said action till his body became blurry to the normal human eye

" You call that speed? "

Shu replied, as his pupils bounced around his eyeballs at a very quick pace, following Tristen's every move

" If this isn't speed than I don't exist- "

Tristen suddenly paused, being interrupted mid jump by Shu who had appeared in front of him

" Then you don't exist "

He whispered, slapping the younger face across his face with his right hand, sending Tristen straight to the ground

" Every person who awakens their roots become either just as fast you currently are, or faster. Grandpa's words not mine "

Shu explained, pausing for a second before saying that last line, landing seconds later next to Tristen who stared up at him in awe

" My speed isn't nothing to you then? "

Tristen questioned, feeling somewhat discouraged to continue their training

" To me it isn't nothing, but to beginners I suppose it is something. In my eyes, when you move like that you just look like a normal person walking around, to be honest once you reach my level of speed and perception the world will feel a lot slower and boring "

Shu explained stretching out his hand so that Tristen could grab it, which he did, only to be pulled up from the ground

" There are three ways to improve your speed "

Said Shu as he turned to look at the sky, pointing at it with his index

" The First way is to train your muscles with natural means that don't require sanctuary energy, which was what my grandpa taught me before helping me awaken "

Shu added, confusing the kid who then tilted his head, trying to wrap his head around why Shu didn't just do that with him

" Why didn't you teach that way as well? By the look of it, you're insanely strong, so wouldn't the same method help me? "

Tristen questioned, interrupting Shu who was about to explain the other way while stretching out his middle finger along with his index

" Uh—well, for one, it'd take too long and I don't have much time to train you, the rest of my time I have to use to train myself and get stronger for an upcoming war. Second, you're simply too weak for that type of training "

Shu replied, coldly replying to the boy who then narrowed his eyebrows, feeling insulted by Shu's remarks

" What do you mean I'm too weak? You think I can't take it? "

Tristen added, raising his tone of voice whilst doing so, which irritated Shu a bit

" Look, I wasn't born as weak as everyone else alright? The moment I was born I was already as strong as any normal 10 year old, or at least that's what grandpa told m—-anyway, the point is, my body was prepared for that type of training, yours isn't, so stop asking and let me finish "

Shu said, explaining the situation to the kid, raising his voice even higher than Tristen did in an attempt to put the kid in his place, which he accomplished by shutting the boy up

" Anyway. The second way to improve your speed is by simply achieving a higher level of energy control, which you are going to do, which will then lead you to the third way "

The albino boy explained as he held out three fingers, smiling as Tristen simply stared, now more quiet than before

" The third way is to enhance your limbs with your sanctuary energy, which can only be achieved by awakening the first level of control, which you will be doing in a bit "

He ended whilst closing his hand, forming a fist with it before lowering it as Tristen nodded, intrigued yet again

" So how do I awaken the first level!? "

Tristen yelled, seemingly excited for what was coming next which of course made Shu smile, seeing someone else happy to become stronger or fight was a delightful feeling to him

" Well, it's really simple really, awakening the first level should take a few minutes, hours at best. Anyway, to actually awaken it, you have to focus your energy in a certain place... "

Shu said beginning to whisper as he ended his sentence, surrounding his right hand in a blue aura whilst doing so

" Energy? What energy? "

Tristen questioned, staring at Shu with a confused expression which made Shu shake a bit, remembering that he forgot to explain the most important part of awakening, understanding what energy was

" Uh—well um, after awakening, didn't you feel an odd liquid like feeling around your body? "

" Yes... "

" Ok good! Yeah, that's energy. Try to focus that liquid like feeling in one place— "

Shu explained, as the aura around his palm began to grow

" annnd then—harden it! "

Shu added, suddenly yelling it out as the aura around his palm disappeared, being replaced by a slight glow which was represented by neon blue line at the edges of his hand and fingers

" Now, it could take you hours, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that it'll take you a few— "

" Like this? "

Tristen questioned as he showed Shu his hand, which looked exactly like his

" Oh "
