Chapter 377

Asterlin was at the deep end of the forest, standing in front of what seemed to be a small hill, with a bit of sunlight falling on it, glistening above the rock where an ape sat.

The ape was about the size and height of an average human male, but its hands were wide and big; his fur was light green, whilst his eyes were a bright red.

The fur above his head stretched up like hair, but unlike hair it was wavy, and unlike the rest of his fur it was blue; his tail was made of an intense blue fire, the sunlight above him giving him a majestic look.

The creature turned to look at the boy, taking a close look at the child, tilting its head in curiosity; this creature has been the king of this forest for decades, but rarely did he come across these animals.

He didn't know exactly what a human was but he knew they resembled him; they had four limbs and walked on two legs, like he did, so he saw them as another him.

There were many tales about this ape's species, but many didn't know if those stories were true, so people normally thought these creatures were myths; his species normally stayed in quiet places, like hidden parts of a forest, deep into or inside of mountains, underground and even above the tallest mountains on the planet.

It's said that these Apes are straight descendants of the Monkey King Wukong and although these Apes were all spread across the world, there was never more than one in one place; these creatures were very territorial, and Asterlin so happened to enter this ape's territory.

Before the boy could react the ape had appeared in front of him, staring down at the boy.

" Hmm "

The ape slowly moved its head down to the boy's level; an enormous pressure pushing the boy down to his knees

" What do you want? "

The ape questioned; his voice was distorted and deep, loud and echoing, but most of all it was dominant.

Asterlin wasn't just scared of the beast's voice, but also scared of the fact that the animal could even speak

" Ch—challenge "

The boy whispered; not because that was all he had to say but because he couldn't say anything else, the pressure and power this animal oozed stopped him from speaking at all

" Challenge? Do you want to fight me? "

The monkey spoke slowly, the speed at which he talked adding to the intensity and pressure of his strength.

" I—challenge, with friends— "

The ape yawned, interrupting the boy who jumped at the loud noise

" I'll take it that you lost yourself in my territory— I'll take you back "

The monkey would then grab Asterlin off the floor, picking him up from the back of his shirt.

Although there was a massive pressure coming from the monkey, Asterlin couldn't feel an inch of sanctuary energy from him.

The Ape had dragged the boy right out of the forest; and as that happened, both Raven and Dio waited outside for him, not because they knew the ape had snatched Asterlin but because they had their prey.

" My hunt is bigger than yours "

Dio said, chuckling a little as he dragged a bear by its leg, taking out of the forest trees whilst his brother did the same with his own bear

" Mine is taller than yours "

Raven replied, as Dio just turned to look at Raven's hunt, squinting his eyes a little

" Sure but mine is fatter, look at its belly, it's almost like it's pregnant "

Dio said, smiling a little as the two brothers just stared at each other for a second

" Wait I think that bear might actually be pregnant "

Raven whispered, pointing at the animal, looking at the bear's oddly big and round stomach, but before Dio could reply, he and his brother fell down to their knees, struggling to breathe as the ape that carried asterlin walked out of the forest.

It seemed calm but angry at the same time; maybe it was his resting face? It didn't matter though, either way the two boys couldn't do anything but watch.

" Hmm. Two more "

The ape questioned staring at the two brothers, and then at the bears they had hunted; he slowly raised his right hand and pointed his finger at the bear that Dio had captured

" That one's pregnant "

He said before walking passed the two, walking slowly while heading to the place where he sensed many lives residing; that being the village from where these three boys had come from.

Once in the Village, the monkey dropped Asterlin on the floor whilst all the people that could move turned to look at creature, they immediately knew what it was; stories about these creatures were shared with them when they were children, but that was all it was, a children's story, at least till now.

The name of these animals was well known, even know not much about them was.

They were called Luzsvet, they were bright and colorful creatures, but powerful and terrifying; those were the words that normally accompanied the explanation of their existence they were purely known for their strength.

" I come to this village to deliver this boy who entered my domain; please come forward if you are the parent "

He said, loud and clear, and just like Asterlin was, they were all afraid, mainly because he could speak, but also because of his voice, and also because of his very existence.

Soon after, Bjorn stepped up, coming out of his workshop to hear all the commotion outside, many were struggling to stand, and those who could came knocking to his smithy

" Oh, it's a Luzsvet, been a minute since I've seen one; is that what you lot wanted to show me? "

Bjorn questioned, staring at the monkey whilst everyone flocked around him, standing beside him for protection, this creature gave off a weird vibe of strength

" I came to deliver this boy; are you his father? "

The Ape questioned as he grabbed Asterlin from the ground, holding the top of his head well, while raising him up, presenting him to the giant dwarf whom just stared at the boy

" No but I know his father, if you want you can just wait here for him, I'm going back to work "

And just like that Bjorn went back to his smithy, leaving everyone there speechless, with nothing to say, and afraid of the ape whom had listened to Bjorn and decided to wait for the boy's father, who at the moment was having a buddy buddy conversion with Shu
