Fall of a Commander (Chapter 18)

The night crawled in on Avalon Hillside like a predator stalking it's prey. The wind blew a light breeze across the streets tip toeing its way through the tiny gaps of the houses of Avalon, but one house seemed to not be touched by the wind no sound came from the house although, nothing came from that house nothing but silent talking and sounds of crunching from there.

"CCcrchh CCcrchh" the sound of eating came from the house all over the floor bodies lay dead and half eaten bits of body parts and discarded skin splurged the walls. "yunno what the best thing about a human is" Sayomi burped out while breaking off another dead humans arm and biting into it with her sharp teeth.

"It's the fact that they taste so good hekekeke" Sayomi giggled sinisterly and looked over towards Nathaniel he was now possessed he hadn't been seen in the Palace since the day he served The Emperor and his daughter Minka.

"Hediki should be back soon right I did send him to go do a job... ohh wait I can't talk to you but through you, you are possessed and all hekekeke" Sayomi threw the human arm away and held her head in boredom. Nathaniel looked up his eyes still turquoise and it seemed as if Sayomi talked through him.

"Yes that is true… " Sayomi and Nathaniel said together boredom in Sayomi's voice.

I felt something a few minutes ago something that must be the key to opening the gates of oblivion this is the Jorogumo races fate we will be part of the Demon King's plan, Sayomi thought reminiscing about the times in the underworld.

A cloaked man with his head down walked through the market place at night minding his own business. Commander Benkei who was coming back from being at the front entrance of Avalon Hillside to go to the Palace walked past the cloaked man.

"Uhhh sir you shouldn't be out here this late" Commander Benkei stopped to say. The cloaked man kept walking not saying a word "Uhhh sir you… " Commander Benkei turned around about to approach the cloaked man until he hesitated and saw something that made him step back and stand his ground.

The cloaked man put his hood down to present a mindless Hediki with turquoise eyes staring at the commander.

They stood in the moonlight facing each other. Hediki's eyes closed and his body shaked for a second, once he opened his eyes again a whole smile crossed his face "So you must be the famous Commander Benkei I've heard about hekekekeke" Hediki laughed out but it didn't sound anything like him it sounded… like Sayomi's voice.

"Who are you… and what do you want with the western region" Commander Benkei yelled in a stern voice, he already knew that the man was possessed and that the voice speaking through the man clearly wasn't the voice of a man but a women . "I heard you're the strongest in the western region… you don't seem like much… well I've been meaning to see you what a coincidence " Hediki covered his face with one hand covering his sinister smile.

Hediki instantly stood holding the commander with one hand on the shoulder hand still covering his face and whispered in the Commanders ear. The commanders eyes widen in shock he didn't even see him move. "Your nothing but food ready to be devoured" Hediki licked the inside of the commanders ear. Commander Benkei pushed him away and stood his ground.

"I'll let you in on a little secret before I murder you weakling… I don't want anything to do with this disgusting region but what's in It is important to the Jorogumo race." Hediki explained yawning and stretching.

The Commander fixed his face into a stern structure and rolled up his sleeves to reveal his mastery symbols. "I will stop your schemes Here! " commander Benkei made a wide spread stance and stared at the controlled Hediki.

Hediki yawned and stretched more ready for a fight "Knew this was going to happen your so predictable weakling I was going to have to kill you anyway you're the only one that stands a chance at messing with the plan… " Hediki showed a stone cold grin raising his hand and ushering the commander to come towards him.

Meanwhile in the Palace in Avalon Hillside at the main office, Emperor Kenmei stood facing the big window in the office hand on the window head down the moonlight shining bright at him. The Emperor sighed and looked up " I miss you Maria… " he looked in sorrow reminiscing about his beloved wife. "Things aren't getting any easier over here the world is split in destruction and war, the blood of innocent lives are being spilled"

Avalon had fallen into possession one by one people would get possessed as there eyes would show to be a turquoise color. Although the strange thing about it was that once they got possessed those people would be frozen not moving or responding as if they were unplugged from living. No one knew how they were getting possessed or where the Jorogumo actually was, it was like they were living a nightmare.

The emporer sighed and made a stern face he was going to need all of the army including Commander Benkei there strongest warrior to be ready as something was about to happen something that would shape the future.

Back in the Marketplace where the commander and Hediki were. Hediki walked away from a blood covered body it was commander Benkei's.

His eyes out of his eye sockets on the floor his arms torn off thrown beside him and his chest with a massive hole in it oozing out blood the commander kneeling down blood pouring out of his mouth he had lost and this seemed to be the end.

"Seems like you were strong commander hekekeke… but not strong enough... It seems like I don't need to control a peice of trash like you" Hediki laughed a massive wound was on his face made by the commander but it was quickly regenerated as Hediki walked on.

The Western Region didn't stand a chance it had just been made quite clear.
