C39- First Fight

She walked for a few hours, searching for a suitable beast, she didn't want to alert the stronger beasts so she didn't go deeper into the forest, Eventually, she came across a rabbit with two horns on its head, the rabbit looked so cute with it black and white fur.

"What a cute little bunny," She said, walking close to the Rabbit, the rabbit continued to hop closer to her, she thought it was coming to her, only for it to hop past her, the rabbit was running away from something.

Since it was her first time encountering a beast, she had no idea most beast possesses a little bit of intelligence, the Horned Rabbit hopped past Sephie, praying that what was coming after it would focus on the naive girl that tried to pet it.

Sephie was quite surprised by the way the horned Rabbit hopped past her, she had thought the rabbit was coming close so she could pet it, "What a rude creature" she said as she focused on moving forward.

As she took a step forward, she heard a howl, Standing before her was a 2-foot-tall wolf with 3 tails, white fur, with 1 long canine with the other canine broken.

Fear immediately grabbed Sephie's heart, her legs were rooted in one place not daring to move, and cold sweats appeared on her face and her back, She was so scared that she almost collapsed.

If not for the fact that she knew she would die if she lost consciousness she would have immediately she saw the wolf.

She gulped hard, patiently observing the Wolf as it circled her, they were both waiting for the first person to make the first move.

The wolf growled as it circled Sephie, it could smell the fear from its prey, with a loud howl the wolf dashed toward Sephie, the wolf finally came for her, and the fear intensified, making her reaction slow before she could call out her spear from her hand, the wolf heavy body collided with hers.

Sephie fell under the weight of the wolf, she attempted to get back up, but as she did she couldn't see the wolf, she looked around "Where did it go" she wondered not dropping her guard

Not seeing the wolf in sight, she called her Spear just in case the wolf came back, yet again before she could move again she heard multiple howls coming from different directions.

The howling continued, and out of the tall bushes came 7 wolves completely different from the wolf that attacked Sephie earlier, the new wolves had black gold fur, one of the wolves had 3 tails, and 5 inches long canines, while the others had 2 tails.

They growl repeatedly, running around Sephie, "Great Serpent, those are Thunder wolves, what are they doing close to the entrance of the forest" Sephie panicked, judging by the number of their tails, Sephie could guess that the one with 3 tails was a Knight Rank beast, with the others being Pawn Rank wolves.

And as a [Mortal] warrior there was no way she would survive if she engaged them in battle.

Nonetheless, she called out her Spear, waiting for the wolves to attack, if she would die on this day, she must take at least one wolf with her, she gathered her resolve.

"Child, get out of here if you want to survive, I will hold them off" Sephie had a voice in her mind, the voice sounded Masculine, Sephie looked around trying to find the owner of the voice, only to see the earlier wolf that had attacked her, standing by her side.

Even with how big the wolf was, Sephie didn't notice the wolf's presence. The wolf wasn't trying to attack her now, it was trying to protect her, which was a strange turn of events for Sephie.

Sephie did as the wolf instructed her, she turned back trying to escape but 4 thunder wolves followed her, their speed was greater than hers, they quickly surrounded her again, but this time she didn't simply wait for them to toy with her mind.

She had had enough, she had trained in the basics of using a Spear, but at this time she had no Art Techniques, only the simple thrust and another movement training.

Sephie could already control a little bit of her Energy to strengthen her body, although compared to other higher Rank warriors hers were still lacking, her body was too weak to handle the full amount of her Energy.

For a Warrior-class individual the stronger your body is the more Energy you can use to strengthen it, meaning if Sephie tried to use her whole Zin Energy it would lead to a painful end, it could very much kill her by turning her bones and internal organs into dust.

'Great Serpent, I never knew using Zin to enhance my body would increase my stats like this, with this I can manage to survive' Sephie thought, with her mind prepared for Battle.

Sensing the subtle changes in their prey's body one of the thunder wolves pounced at Sephie, with her new strength Sephie was able to dodge the wolf, she rolled to the side missing the wolf, and immediately sprang back up, eyed the other wolves, but none of them moved.

She returned her focus to the Wolf that had attacked her, the wolf had two tails indicating it was a BISHOP Rank thunder wolf, from what she had learned from her father, every beast at the BISHOP RANK usually had something called INNATE SKILL, especially beasts like the thunder wolf,

At the BISHOP RANK, thunder wolves can produce Sound attacks akin to Thunder, they can produce deafening Attacks, monumentally disorienting their prey, if done by a higher rank thunder wolf, it could even kill the prey immediately.

Sephie was not planning on letting the wolf use such an attack, and since the other wolf was not interfering she charged toward the 2 tailed wolves.
