Jinsoo: mhmm okay...
Riley: What major are you?
Jinsoo: sculpting, You?
Riley: acting!
I close my ears and squint my eyes from how loud she yelled
Jinsoo: makes sense
We get a knock on the door
Riley: It is probably another roommate!
Jinsoo: It's open!
A girl with long blue hair walks in with three big suitcases following behind her
Riley leans over to my ears
Riley: We got a rich snob as a roommate
Jinsoo: Don't judge a book by its cover.
Winter: Leave the suitcases there, butler, and here is your tip
She throws $200 at the butler
He bows and leaves
She lets out a huge sigh and drops her shoulders
Winter: I feel so free
She turns to us with a big smile
Winter: Hi! My name is Winter! I am a fashion major!
Jinsoo: We can tell
Riley: colored hair, pearl coat, and pencil heels...wow... also what is with the butler
Riley raises an eyebrow and folds her arms
I nudge Riley
Jinsoo: Don't be so blunt
Winter: No it's okay... I come from a wealthy family, so I have to keep some standards up. But I have hated being sophisticated and royal. I had to convince my parents for days to let me go to a university.
Riley runs over to whee-in and puts her arm over her shoulder.
Jinsoo: You can completely be yourself around us.
Winter: I see that there are 4 name tags but 3 people, where is the third roommate.
Jinsoo: She hasn't arrived yet
Riley: I heard that she is a music major
Winter: WOah that is so cool! So we have an arts major...a fashion major...and what major are you?
Riley: I am a dance major! I am planning to be an actor!
Winter: OMG cool! We are all in the performance dorm.
Jinsoo: This is the performing arts building...
Winter: Haha you are right!
She gives a nervous chuckle while I glare at her with a blank expression
Riley: Don't worry you will get used to the glare. Well, I guess we should unpack.
And the first thing she takes out is a big crockpot cooker
Jinsoo: You know that you are not allowed to have electrical appliances in the dorm.
Riley: Shh, no one will know if we keep quiet.
I shake my head, and I continue to unpack my things.
*time skip*
It has been a couple of hours and the sun has set.
Winter: What should we eat for dinner?
Riley: Ooh should we go out for sushi? Or we could just get pizza?
Jinsoo: How about the mess hall?
Both of them look at me like I am crazy...
Riley: It is our first day on campus...Living alone without any parents and you want to go eat in the cafeteria?
Jinsoo: Yeah, we can eat on the campus today and then see what restaurants are good for tomorrow.
They agree and we get ready.
Jinsoo: Does everyone have their cards ready?
Winter: yep!
Riley: Ready!
We walk into the cafeteria and get shocked by everyone stuffing their mouths
Winter: Is it that good?
Jinsoo: There is only one way to find out
After 20 minutes, we finally get to sit down and eat our food.
Jinsoo: It looks delicious...
I take a good sniff
Jinsoo: It smells delicious!
I put it in my mouth
Jinsoo: It tastes delicious!
Riley's and Winter's eyes widen is anticipation
They take a bite from their food. And dig in
Jinsoo: How can school food taste this good!
I get ready to take another bite from my food and I get a notification on my phone
*Matthew: Come to the office, Let's talk*
I put my chopsticks down and stand up
Jinsoo: Sorry girls, my brother is calling me
I grab my tray and put it away on my way out.
While I was exiting I see a person who looked familiar
I turn my head to look at him
Jinsoo: why does he look familiar?
I get another text from my brother
*Matthew: meet me at the soccer field*
I text him saying that I am on my way and I walk towards the soccer field
Henrey: And we meet again!
Jinsoo: Have you seen my brother?
Henrey: Yeah is in under the shed.
Jinsoo: Thanks...Where are you heading?
Henrey: dinner...The rest of the team is already there.
I nod and walk towards the shed and see min-ho polishing balls
Jinsoo: Why are you doing this? Aren't you the coach?
Matthew: if I don't do it then they will not be good for practice
Jinsoo: This is why you need an assistant
Matthew looks at me with a smile
Matthew: Maybe I do...why do you think I called you here?
I swiftly look up at him
Jinsoo: Are you serious?
He puts the ball down and hands me a clipboard with papers on it
Matthew: You will have a week of training to see if you can handle the tasks. I am telling you a thing right now, this is a hard and dangerous job.
Jinsoo: I will not let you down.
Matthew: Come on I will show you where everything is...once the team comes back from dinner I will introduce you.
I nod
Matthew: You will be required to arrive on the field by 8:00 AM and at 6:00 PM. And you will get to come to college competitions. You will also have to give weekly reports on the player's conditions and improvements. the clipboard has all the member's skills and weaknesses.
He shows me where everything is and brings me to a room
Matthew: this is your little office, you can keep your bag here and the revision of the game plan. Luckily I taught you how to play soccer and the gist of it.
He shows me around a little bit more and then we head back to the field.
I put my phone down and grab a polished ball.
Matthew: What are you doing?
I kick it to him and stand defense
Jinsoo: Let's see if the master can be beaten by the little sister.
He kicks the ball towards the goal and in less than a minute I steal it from him and kick it the opposite way.
Matthew: How did you get so good?!
He runs after me and tries to steal the ball.
I give a big kick and it gets into the goal.
I look at him astonished and I throw my hands in the air
Jinsoo: OMG, I made a goal!
I run to Matthew and he lifts me in the air.
Matthew: That's my little girl!
He puts me down and I look at him
Jinsoo: you went easy on me, didn't you
He gives me a cheeky smile and scratches the back of his neck
I get the ball and kick it to him.
Jinsoo: Now play fair and square.
He kicks it to the goal and it took me a while but I was able to steal it. I ran towards my goal and finally got the groove of it, so I confidently kicked the ball into the goal and turned to look at my brother. He gives me a proud smile and I hear clapping near the open tents
I turn to look and see the team clapping
Jeffrey: Wow you beat the legend
Jack: Your girlfriend is awesome.
Jinsoo: No no no...I am not his girlfriend, I am his sister.
Felix: Haha, when we saw coach smiling like that we thought you were a couple.
Matthew: Anyways, Where is your newly appointed captain?
Jack: He is getting dressed
Tyler: Wow way to be late for the first practice
Henrey: Don't be salty...just face it, he is a better pick as a captain than you
Tyler: Just because he is a good soccer player doesn't mean that he can be a good captain.
Tae-min went on and on about what makes a good captain...
We hear the big industrial gym doors open but I couldn't see who was on the other side of the door because the field lights were shining on them.
Jack: It took you long enough, hurry up coach has an announcement
??: Coming, coming
They run toward the others and the coach tells them to line up. I try to look at their face but the stadium lights were too blinding and in the way.
Matthew: Okay guys, now that everyone is present...Let's start with the big announcement.
Jack: What is it?
Matthew: We are gonna have a new assistant
My brother calls me over and wraps his arm around my shoulder
Matthew: This is my little sister, Jinsoo...she is your new assistant
Everyone cheers and greets me which made me smile ear to ear
Matthew: Come on, let me introduce each one
We walk up to the first person to the right
Jackson: Hey, I am Jackson...second year
I shake his hand while bowing and we move on to the next person
Henrey: We've already met, but hey
I smile and wave my hand
Winston: Hi, nice to meet you, I am Winston
Jack: Hey girl! I am Jack, Park Jack, 1st year
Tyler: Hello, I am Tyler, 3rd year. I am also the oldest team member
I say hi to the rest of the team except for the captain.
??: HI...long time no see...Jinsoo
I look up...my eyes widen and my jaw drops
Jinsoo: You?!?
