is it wrong to miss your sister ?

"but I miss Reinette" he said defending

"I miss her too" she replayed staring at the moon as if it was the most important thing at that moment, she couldn't look at him she knew that the moment they make eye contact she will break down and cry, no she will sob her heart out like a baby.

And that something she can't afford; she has to be strong for her little brother, she promised him that day and she would keep her promise till her last breath, she promised that day that she will protect him, she promised herself that she won't be that broken girl ever again because simply if she was weak and broken who will protect "Lan" who will protect her brother, she promised her mother that she will protect him.

"I miss you so much …is it wrong to miss your sister? "he started saying; yelling with frustration at first then he whispered the last part, his voice breaking a little, breaking her heart with it.

Not giving her time to reply before he spoke again "how could I not miss you; you are the only one that care about be just for me just for me without any hidden motive or any thing … why can't you stay with me, why can't I be with my sister that care about me"

She didn't want to see her little brother sad she loved him so much as if he was her son not just a little brother, she wished could return and stay by his side to watch him grow to that brave man he is becoming, but she cannot. She wished could wake up some day and find that all the what happened that year; all was done from the people she loved people she trusted, people she is still willing to scarify herself in order to protect, people she couldn't hate even if she tried, people that she loved that she could not forgive for leaving her, people that she wished she could forgive or forget.

She wished it was just a bad dream; a very bad dream that is not real, that she will wake up from to find herself that naïve girl again. She wished she could be Reinette again. "Reinette" how she missed that name, how she missed to be called that name, how she missed the girl that was called that name, now when she looked at the mirror, she can't see that girl any more.

But what she wished the most is for her mother to be alive right now, for family to be as before that day, to be the family that cared about each other. But not all we wish can come true.

Seeing that he upset his elder sister he decided to change the subject

"so, what did you bring me for my birthday" said Lan smiling, trying to cheer his older sister up , the sister that he looked up to and will always do.

See what her little brother was trying to do she chuckled a little and started to walk nearer and nearer toward him to hug him, the moment she reached him she hugged him as if her life depends on him, she hugged him tight as if there is no tomorrow.

His sister's hug took him by surprise but he didn't hesitate for a second to hug her back cause he knew she needed that hug, that he needed that hug.

A moment had passed and he felt something drop on his shoulder, she was crying, she was silently crying for everything, but more than any thing she was crying that he didn't feel love, that she missed him but she couldn't take him with her …. After all he was a prince

her baby brother but a prince .

Andrew; the first ranked commander was riding his horse to the village accompanied by that young lady, they were moving in silence, but not awkward silence but comfortable one.

The girl was the first to break through that silence "thank you sir so much" she said

"don't thank me yet, thank me when your father gets well" he replied

"you are a good man sir" she said, he raise a brow not expecting her to say that, not expecting any one to say that.

He has done a lot of things his not proud of ...so, being a good man was out of question for him.

"you think? …. Why do you think that?" he asked really curious to know her answer

"cause you didn't have to help me but you did, you didn't have to have a horse for me to ride but you did, you didn't have to come personally with me you could have send some solider with me or given my money ,but you didn't …so, thank you very much first ranked commander Andrew" she said simply and spontaneously not caring for anything , but she didn't see the smile that what she said brought on the first ranked commander, the hope that she brought to his life with just simple sentence, the peace that was brought to his soul by knowing that he is doing good . and by doing that he may be could forgive him self for what he had done in the past.
