It had been a terrible idea to let Luke back in her life again, Asterin knew that. In fact, with all the gossip that had spread around the tower like some plague, she knew too well how bad of an idea it had been. But rumors were the least of her concerns when it came down to him.

Luke, who had stolen her heart two years ago.

Luke who had been the reason for her to be banned from court.

Luke, who she had tried to forget time and time and had failed terribly.

It had been painful to walk away from him that night, to stop herself from staying with him until he woke up. He’d looked at her with dead eyes and yet embraced her as if the past two years were nothing but nightmares.
