Chapter 1

College is so expensive. I had to pay for the textbooks, a year pass for the bus and I have to pay rent for my small apartment. Since I don't have a lot of money I have to get a job that pays well and a roommate.

Finding a roommate can be hard. First, you don't know where to look, second, you have to like them and third, do you want a male or female.

I have been at college for 4 months now. I have been trying to find a roommate, but they all suck and I don't like them very much. So during the Christmas break, I have planned to lower my standards and find one soon.

I just finished meeting this young male that is a huge athlete junkie, when I got a call.

"Hello?"

"Hi. Is this Maria?"

"Yes. Are you calling due to search for a roommate?"

"Yes. When can I come?"

"I'm free right now."

"Sounds good. I'll be there in 10."

*end of call*

Terrific! Her voice sounded nice. Maybe she will be the perfect roommate. I just hope she isn't a loud chewer and eats with her mouth open.

10 minutes later

The doorbell rang. I quickly rushed over and opened the door.

"Hi, Maria!"

She is stunning. Her long black hair flowed down her shoulders. Her bright blue eyes were like an ocean that I felt like I was drowning in. I looked her up and down.

"Come in."

She smiled and walked into the walkway. I closed the door and turned to see her checking out the whole house.

"Do you like it?"

"I love it!"

We sat down and talked. The more we talked the more I was liking her. She is the perfect roommate, beautiful, funny and she hates people who chew loudly as well.

"Oh, by the way, I never got your name?"

"Oh! How rude of me. My name Katie, Katie Bell."

"I'm Maira Blooms."

She gave me her phone number and I told her that I would call her informing her if she would be my roommate or not.

I thanked her for her time and said goodbye. She hugged me. I feel warm and safe when she hugs me.

I cleaned up a plate that I left out with cookies for those who wanted any. When it was almost dinner time I sat down at my desk and looked over what I had written for each person.

I made my decision, got up and ordered take out.

Later that night

I just finished telling Katie that she was chosen and that she could start moving tomorrow. I am excited to have her move in and she is excited to live with me.

We are going to be living together. I can wake up every morning knowing that a beautiful girl will be living in my house with me.

I just hope she isn't dating anyone because I want to be hers, and only hers. It doesn't matter that we are roommates now, she will become mine.
