Almost There

Toma ran out of the room trying to hold back the tears that were trying to reveal his true feelings. And when he was finally able to hide himself well, he shed his tears continuously.

"Damn it, damn it!" Seeing Yuji so sad and depressed about his break up that it hurts like hell for him. He didn't see it coming. Toma was confident that Yuji will shrug this short term relationship since it didn't look so serious.

Toma always thought that Yuji was only fooling around with Xia, and with his discovery of Yuji's sincere feelings, the picture of Yuji and Xia together haunts and scares him.

Even though he's greatly hurt, he reminded himself that his plan isn't finished yet. "…right, this is still the beginning." There will come a day that Yuji will no longer look at other girls, and only look at Toma.

He thinks that to motivate himself and uplift his mood. Then he brings out his phone to listen to Yuji's voice. He had a record of Yuji singing in secret a long time ago. He closes his eyes as he listens to every word in Yuji's song.

"…When you leave, I'm begging you not to go. Call your name two, three, times in a row. It's such a funny thing for me to try and explain..." Toma smiles bitterly as Yuji was singing every word that makes him somehow relate to it.

"'Cause I know I don't understand. How your love can do what no one else can. You got me looking so crazy right now. Your touch has got me looking so crazy right now…" He pauses the audio and sighs.

"Yeah, he got me going crazy in love…" he buried his palm on his face as he smirks. "…and I'm going to make sure he'll feel the same as I do."

He calmed himself and prepared to stand by Yuji's side to console him from his break up with Xia. As they arrived at school together like they used to, Toma noticed how uneasy Yuji was to see Xia again.

Toma was supposed to be happy because it seems Yuji forgot the stupid three month distancing he made up. But it upsets him to see Yuji so depressed about Xia. "Hey, just sit right next to me. It's better that way." He suggested.

Yuji just went along with him so he can be at ease. Toma did the best he can to make Yuji's day better, even though it was difficult to please his bestfriend. But he'll do whatever it takes just for Yuji's sake.

When classes were over, Toma meets up with Cami to discuss some important matter.

"Are they back together now?" Toma asked.

Cami rolls her eyes at her so-called boyfriend, "Xia's ex just texted me, he said they'll be back together as soon as Xia makes up her mind."

Toma was displeased. "Tell him to make sure that she'll get back together with him."

"It's not that easy Toma, don't rush it."

"Tsk. Don't disappoint me."

"Yeah, we won't. Can't you even put a little trust in us?"

"Whatever. I just want to remind you that as soon as they get back together, we'll have to finally end things between us."

Cami suddenly had her expression brighten at Toma's words. "Cool. Don't forget about our agreement though." She reminded him with a large grin on her face.

"Yeah, I already got you the ticket and prepared the money at my place."

"Sweet! My hard work will finally be paid off." She laughs.

Toma only looked down at her, thinking how shallow her joy and feeling of achievement is. "As long as my plan goes as how I expect it to be, then I'll be almost there." Toma told himself, and patiently waits until his plan goes successful.
