Chapter 24 - Aroh! The First New Area Under Drake

"What will happen to us?" The old lady asked again with insecurities showing on her face.

Marven then came forward, "I need you to bring all of the people in your home, you neighbor, your child, even the babies. Right now. Do not let anyone stay at the house."

Not long after that, people started gathering outside. And after seeing that, Drake then walked into the highest place of the cliff. Muttering the mantra and repeating it from time to time, he brought his hand up above his head.

His chanting was a success after rain started showering the town. He made it poured only for Aroh, the new name of Zone West that was no longer under Sora Union.

"It's raining," some of the men said, "But the smell smelled somewhat like a flower."

One of them then tasted the rain. "It's sweet."

"Realy?" The other started doing the same.

What was raining was the vaccine of the drugs that Drake was going to build as a border. He would establish a border containing typical drugs that made people hallucinate if they touched it. They won't recover by time. Only the antidote will do that.

When the rain water started being absorbed into the people's skin, they would directly go to their veins and create the immune system. Tasting the water would make the progress faster.

With this, not only people in town could be safe from the border. Even the smallest animal like an ant could pass the border just fine.

The old lady before, noticing Drake made the rain. "Are you the one who made the rain fall?"

Drake only regarded the woman slightly, and turned his way to the back of the cliff. It's time to make the border. "I'll leave the rest to you guys,"

Marven then continued his speech. "What you touch right now is a vaccine for the border of this town, no one outside can pass the border without our permission."

A murmur was heard among the people. They questioned each other if this is right.

Ash continued the saying, "We will work together with the mayor to make a guard team. Any transaction with other regions had to be listed and done outside the border. You will be kept safe by the Sora Union and other invaders."

The mayor, of course as the native from that town, was happier working with people like Marven, who had his honor known across the land. Though as criminals, they won't eat their own words and would keep the people safe.

Delany said to them. "Please, stay at your home for today, if you pass the border within twenty-four hours, the vaccine will fail and you will be immune to the antidote. Means you can't enter this town again."

"Let's try trusting these people, It could be better than Savanna, " said the old lady.

People were questioning if they had to believe in Samoa or not, but after the old lady spoke to them, they agreed to follow Samoa for now. She was indeed a respected elder.

"Okay," A sound of a single clap was heard, Marven said to them, "Let's started build back our beloved new town, Aroh!"

They then listed the young men who can work, and together with the mayor, discussed what needed to be done. As the people wondered how much it would cost to re-construct a small town, Marven was already given an unlimited budget by Drake. How nice to be so rich, he thought.

The reconstruction started right away the next day. People found how powerful Samoa was right now, no one could enter Aroh without permission. A thin line of drugs in the form of a border was installed right behind the gate wall. This work could only be done by a chanter like Drake.

Curious people that tried to pass the border secretly, finally getting the repercussions. The hallucination made them stand still and acting like crazy. Those people were brought to the post right away to receive the investigation.

That's really the time, when the people there never felt so safe with so much protection. Samoa also created a lot of job opportunities so the people could easily earn a lot of money. This is truly a blessing from Deity!

"How's the progress?" Drake asked behind his desk. Never once crossed his mind that he would sit behind the desk flipping so much report.

Marven, who sat on the couch nearby, sighed so hard. His face looked like a zombie that was raised from the ground. "Arrgh! This workload really drives me insane!" He cried, "Let me just hold a sword, will ya."

Ash shook his head, "Master, you had to help! The new works keep coming. We've already spent so much for this, so there's no way we're gonna stop it in the middle."

"No contact from Sora Union?" Drake asked,

"No. not even once, it's been two weeks since we tore down the entire Sora Tower, but not even one person from Sora Union has made contact." Marven Said.

It was strange. Drake knew how prideful the Sora Union was. There's no way they would turn a blind eye for this. "Told the guards to be aware of any irregular activities inside the town, bring the mayor for the inspection."

"Right away," Ash said, nodding, then left the room.

Marven looked at Drake, with so much going on, they needed more smart people than what they had right now. "Drake, We need more manpower. The one that is capable enough to handle the budget and so on. People in Samoa do not really have a brain, you know."

Drake chuckled, "Of course," He stood facing the large map that was spread on the wall. With his dagger, he stabbed it to the area of his next target. "We don't need to wait for the Sora Union to move. Let's take another neutral zone."

Beredo. Bigger city than Aroh, full of intelligent students.

"What?" Marven was sure it'd been only a week when they took the Zone West. This was the war that surprisingly Drake had no nation to bring as a winner.

As one of the neutral zones under Sora, Beredo was created to produce the best roots of Users. User skill was not inherited like a chanter he is, becoming a Bismouth and Sora needed a special talent.

It was famous that Beredo owned the academy for smart people, particularly the one that didn't come from the nobility. Most Nobles of course, lived in the green zone with the nation as their protector anyways.

Claiming the Beredo, this time, it would be different than while he was facing Savanna.

"Beredo," Marven read the name, "I remembered passing the town once. The people there are very smart. But truthfully, there's a rumor that the owner of Sora Tower kidnapped the kids to train them to become a Sora. I heard the head principal of the academy was going berserk knowing that, he then got murdered miserably the next day with no culprit being caught."

Marven reluctantly saw the possibility of winning. "You have to think thoroughly about this, Drake."

"I know," He sighed, "I will observe the place first, and if I find something dangerous, we will move to the other neutral zone."

Marven nodded, "Be careful on your way there."

"Oh!" Drake then remembered something, "Tell the other Area under Samoa to be prepared for attack. We don't want them to be ambushed by the Sora Union. I will lend my power to Lara and Faryal, tell them to build the border right away."

Samoa, a criminal organization, were actually owning some land and areas. It Located not far away from the Auro, village town where Drake stayed with the others.

Marven agreed with Drake, "Yes, let's do that, the little girls' health has also improved. Delaney can take care of them."

After Drake transferred energy to Athena, the little girl with the dragon tears, she recovered so fast. But though the physical wounds were better, her mental state was not in the condition to perform any heavy conversation.

As he tried to talk to her last night, while he mentioned a dragon, Athena was screaming so hard. She kept asking for his big brother, and kept blaming herself for no reason. It was hard to calm her when she was in depression like that.

As for Savanna, Drake still kept her in the underground in the villa he was staying at Aroh right now. It was one of her places actually.

Drake hoped within the times, Sora Union didn't take any movement to attack the region under Samoa. He had to lend his power right away to Lara and Faryal.

The process was the same as before, he would inject his base energy to their mana streams, so they could learn how to make the border.

This kind of power, he could take anytime he wanted from them. Though they understand how to make the border or create a rain, if he took his energy back, they won't be able to do that.

"One week, It's the time I gave them to help create the border." Drake said as his eyes still on the map, watching the name of the next region he would pay a visit tonight.
