Chapter 21 - The Materials ii

"Open your eyes," Drake ordered back the children. When all of them felt the weight of chains was disappeared, they then realized how their hand and feet were free of the iron shackles.

Drake then, opened the room widely, "Get out from here! Go run as far as you can, and never once look back to this place."

When all of the kids were not in his sight anymore, Drake looked around to search for more possibilities of the victim. It was a few minutes until he felt someone tugging his black robe.

There's another kid, with her wary eyes looking up at Drake. Her entire body was shaking as her grip tightened on his robe.

"Why are you still here?" Drake asked the kid.

His demeanor himself would make adults run in madness, let alone a timid kid. The kid in front of him must put all of her courage tugging his robe. "I… i.. Can you help .. me.. Mister?"

Drake stared at the kid, as she continued asking for help, "pl please help my friend."

"Where's your friend? Are there other kids around?" He needed to clean the tower as fast as possible, before tearing down everything.

That small girl, leading Drake to another part of underground. It was pitch dark if Hora didn't lend his fire light. They passed a narrow aisle and a short brick stair. How many secret chambers did this underground labyrinth have?

As they took more steps further, the little girl stopped in front of another prisoner cell. When Drake looked what's being kept inside, he found another girl with her body standing and tied up.

She looked older than the other kids. But the condition was not so different. Thin body with dirt covering almost all of her, he wondered how could a person still alive with that shape.

Drake removed all of her chains, and as soon as the weight of iron left her body, the girl was limping, falling to the ground.

Though he was able to carry her outside, Drake made no plan to do it. It would be a nuisance if he delayed his plan any longer. The tower destruction had to be done right away.

He took out another bottle from her pocket. This drug was basically a last card for him, as it contained the substance to boost one person's adrenaline.

When the little girl drank it, her eyes were dilated. The thumping sound of her heart was beating so loud.

Drake thought it was the time to tell the kids to run away as soon as possible, but suddenly Hora said something that brought his curiosity to the surface.

"Drake, I smell something interesting with this skinny human," Hora said, sniffing the girl. The kids didn't see him because he turned to his invincible state as soon as Drake stepped his foot into the underground. He couldn't risk more people seeing his figure. This was what Elmon did also.

Hora continued, "There's a faint smell of Dragon. It was so light that I almost didn't notice."

Usually, the Dragon was very careful leaving any trace behind. Even they could control their energy odor. It was a rare sight to find someone that had a connection with dragon.

"What do you mean by that?" Drake asked.

Hora explained, "It seems this girl somewhat had a connection with another dragon. I don't know the details, but Drake. You had to keep the girl alive."

Drake saw the adrenaline drugs were working effectively, though It would only last less than an hour. He then decided to bring this girl into his safe house. It was literally an abandoned old storage room.

Drake told the friend, "Bring her out. There's an old building if you go to the south. Go and stay there for the time being before I reach you back."

He opened the cell door wider, "Go now! you have to run as fast as you can, this building will collapse in minutes."

When her friend heard that, she hurriedly helped the other girl stand up. "Athena, come on."

As the drug started kicking her brain, she easily moved her body with the help of her friend. It was only a second but she regarded Drake with her bleak eyes.

Drake then focuses his movement back upstairs. Not forgetting to take Savanna with him.

In another area, Marveen was already putting his sword back. Though he succeeded in taking care of the last five Sora, other Sora kept coming from every side.

They were not an expert fighter like Bismouth, who could transfer his energy to the weapon. Sword skill in Sora was purely skill without the mana to protect their movement or enhance their power.

But still, it was bothersome for him to handle those weak and despicable Sora. As long as the effect of poison resistance was still working, Marven wouldn't need to worry.

As he continued his running, he sensed a lot of steps coming from the way leading to the tower. It was weak, but the number was a lot. And truth after a slight moment, Marven saw a lot of children, running with their shaky breath.

He grabbed one of them that passed him while running. The kid screamed a lot as she was shocked with a sudden touch on her shoulder. "Ah!"

Marven looked closer to the child's appearance. She was surely not a pleasant to see. "What are you doing running out from that direction?" Marven asked.

The child answered Marven with trembling . "Please mister… I had to run, I cannot go back there."

She must have thought he was going to take her back to the tower. Didn't want to keep the child any longer with him, Marven released his grip, and the child was running so fast leaving Marven alone.

Not long after, he felt the ground shaking. It was a big earthquake that he had to grip the tree near to balance his stand.

As he looked around to find the resource of that sudden earthquake, he saw the grand tower from the Zone West was actually crumbling down.

"How..?" He couldn't believe that he was witnessing Drake's power. While his subordinate delivered the news of half the Zone West had teared down under one night, he thought no human could be able to do that.

Even when Drake had told him his identity as a chanter, he never imagined this kind of power was real. What he witnessed right now, would be forever grave in his memory.

As scary as how Drake's power worked, his admiration was still growing for him. This is the real chanter! Descendant of the heaven sorcerer.

Meanwhile, Lara and Faryal were also surprised with the fall down of Sora Tower. As soon as they witnessed it, they left their position, going directly to the tower.

The Savanna's alliance from Sora Union, were also in shock witnessing what was happening. They were standing around the border, so as soon as the sleeping drug cloud started to disappear they could enter the Zone West. But right now it was impossible.

"Tch! We're going back!" One of the men from Sora Union signed to the other members. As the Sora Tower fell, they thought the enemy must be dangerous. They had to be careful. With no certain plans, they could be the next one that got destroyed.

At the tower, Drake with his feet at the top of the building ruins, took out the flag that was stuck at one's stone.

It was a flag that fluttered all the time on top of this Tower. With the double snake emblem showing on the flag, the Zone West was particularly under Sora Union. A neutral zone that even a red zone leader like Marven wouldn't dare to touch.

But that graceful flag until mintes ago, was right now ripped into a shred under Drake's foot. And as pathetic that sound was, Drake took another flag under his robe.

He then stuck it at the highest part of the building ruins. When the people wake up this morning, the new Zone West will be presented to them, with a Samoa flag fluttered at this place.

With the chanting and mantra, Drake could easily tear down the entire tower into a useless crumble ruins. Yes, it did take most of his energy. Same like last time when he destroyed half of the Zone West, his energy was drained and if he met another enemy, he was not sure he could still fight.

When he climbed down, Marven was already there. As he looked at how Drake put the Samoa flag at the top of the ruins, he couldn't feel anything but proudness.

"You've done it." Marven tabbed Drake's shoulder.

"Master," Though he was a chanter, Drake would never forget how Marven teached him a sword for these two years. No one could teached him the sword as skilled as Marven. He looked at Marven and said, "I see no scratch on you."

"Well, of course I was the strongest Bismouth in this area." Marven laughed, but a sudden slap landed at the back of his head.

"Don't praise him, his nose will stretch to the end of the earth." Lara had finally arrived.
