Rising of the Pet System

A young man who was a slave for as long as he remembers finally gets set free into the world by a powerful devil as her servant. As named by her, he took Hades as a name and a way of life. As her hellhound unleashed on the world, she gave him a contract. The more he sacrifices for her, the more power she will grant him. What to expect? The world of Alseria is a ruthless world so don’t expect people to be just after power or be evil for the sake of evil. Each villain I wrote has a legitimate reason for his action, and by legitimate I mean something good. The MC: He isn’t a good guy neither he is evil. He just wants to get by, and occasionally ends up causing a disaster. His sense of morality isn’t like other people’s due to his upbringing and this story is about him trying to be normal. The MC Powers: He has abilities granted to him by the system, not magic. Even though magic exists and is prominent in the world, our MC doesn’t have the patience to sit and learn it. By the end game, he will have a total of ten powerful abilities (Which are addressed in the ten-chapter prologue) I decided to take the HP, MP, and SP from the system concept since they aren’t good indicators of physical capabilities. Instead, I exchanged them for visual indicators, like if the MC is stabbed in the chest, his health is probably too low to stand. I will keep a review so you can contact me easily.

Hades Vs Dryad II

The dryad finally decided to stop running, lifting her hand up, she created a long wooden spear. "Come to me if you dare!" She screamed causing three to rumble.

From the bushes, Fen leaped out biting the spear off her hands. "GRWAAOOOO!"

The dryad clenched her dry wooden lips, taking Hades's kick straight in the face. THUD! She remained standing, anchoring her body to the ground with roots extending from her legs. With her face, she pushed Hades's foot away, "This…isn't enough…to take me down!" She screamed pushing hades away and swinging a fist at him.

Hades blocked her punch with his forearms, CLACK! Wooden spikes flashed from her knuckles piercing his flesh.

"GRAA!" Hades screamed, [Repulsion] he pushed her back and swung a fist at her face, she took the hit directly and swung back at him. Thwack!, her fist landed on his face, leaving holes in his cheek. As her fist was still connected to his face, Hades quickly swung his upper body with a roar. Her sharp knuckle spikes lacerated his cheek yet he charged, with a mighty scream and a mightier punch to her guts.

THWACK! BAM! [Repulsion] the sheer force of his fist send her body flying, cracking her wooden skin like it was made of brittle dirt. She smacked into a tree with her back, and with a blurry vision, she saw Hades charge at her roaring.

GRWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Enraged, he swung a kick with [Repulsion]

The dryad rolled to the side, and Hades's kick hit the small tree, CRACK! The trunk shattered into pieces, and the tree rolled away. The dryad watched in terror, what was this human?

With his head swinging, he glared at her with glowing red eyes. AGRAAAAAAAAA! Screaming, Hades charged at her again, a relentless beast hunting, for a moment, he seemed unstoppable.

She tapped the ground with her hand, and CRACK! A wooden spike grew from the ground in Hades's way, at the same time, she leaped backward.

"AWOO!" Fen leaped in, biting the spear into pieces and clearing Hades's way.

The Dryad retook her stance, she tapped the ground with her foot to raise another spike. Crack! Only a small twig grew, and her face instantly turned sore. 'I'm already out?' BAM! At that moment, Hades's fist connected to her face again.

Her body bounced off the ground as [Repulsion] sent her flying. She landed beside a tree. With a cracked face she watched Hades rush at her, imagining him as a monster.

The dirt beside the tree with a bit moist, and the roots from her back pierced the grown to draw on some water to fuel herself. Her last attempt at winning, lifting her arm up. Her hand withered, turning into a black hardwood spear. "Don't…" CHOP!

Gabriella came from the back swinging her sword, the blade stuck to the dryad's neck. 'It's hard, a sword isn't suitable to cut wood.' Gabriella thought, wishing she had a wood axe instead.

The dryad smiled, human weapons can't behead her…CLANG! Hades kicked Gabriella's sword pushing it all the wall through. CRACK! The dryad's head fell off and so did Gabriella's blade shatter.

The system quickly rearranged his points to give him maximum strength while making sure his body doesn't collapse due to having unbalanced stats.

Seeing his stats increase, Hades finally relaxed, his head cooled down and he fell on his face. Gabriella threw her shattered sword away and rushed at him, he was bleeding and in a bad condition.

"Fen! Come help me!" She screamed, grabbing Hades by the shoulder and dragging him to the tents. Fen helped as well by dragging Hades by his clothes.

As the two managed to get Hades to the tents, Gabriella stared at Fen, "You keep guard, kill anything that moves and isn't a human. If it is a human then inform me."

Confused, fen crooked his head to the side, 'You know I can't understand what you say? Very well, do your things and I will just wait' Fen thought as he rushed to sit on top of a rock.

Gabriella was amazed that he understood her words, at the moment she just spoke but quickly realized she was talking to a dog. But it turned out well in the end.

After dragging Hades to his tent, she took her bag off and stoked the flames with wood. From the bag, she took a scissor and cut Hades's clothes open to check on his wounds. The two were moving too fast and she expected him to have more than the wound on his face.

She found a wooden stick stabbed at his chest, a long wound across his torso, a long wound across his back, and down to his left thigh that had some small wooden pieces in. Bruises and broken bones. This man never ceases to amaze her at how much gold he can consume when healed, with this, she might have spent on him more than she spent her whole life on healing.

She took a bottle of water, warmed it up, and then washed his wounds. Took a clean cloth and her gold out. Grabbed the stick stabbed at his chest and took a deep breath.

She pulled it out, with one hand, pressing on the wound with the other. After throwing the stick, she started her healing magic immediately. The first stage was an examination of the wound, the second was removing forging objects, and the third stage was repairing the damage.

She only healed his lung at first, leaving the outer hole to his chest cavity open. She waited to see if he would expel the blood stuck in his chest on his own or if she would need to take it out with magic. To her leg, the blood just gushed out as he started breathing normally. Just for good measure, she examined him a bit more before closing the wound.

Next, she checked the long wound across his torso and examined its depth. It was almost a fingertip deep. That wasn't a good sight, but not the worst she had seen. She quickly took the water and cleaned the wound, after that, she healed it with magic.

Next, it was his back's turn." She struggled to flip him around for a while but managed. Checking his wound, she could see his spine flakes, which was a very bad sign. She quickly took his pants off to see the full length of the wound.

From his left shoulder and down to the back of his right knee, that was the longer wound she saw in her whole life. And it was deep enough to see the bones. She inspected the visible part of the spine to check for damage, a long scratch was apparent on the bone. And from the wound structure, she determined how he got it.

It was most likely a wound he sustained by a tree branch when flying at high speed with his kick after the dryad. She immediately started the healing, 'this will be a lot of work and gold, I won't even be able to sleep…hope that dryad would at least pay for some of it.' Gabriella was more concerned about not getting to sleep that night than the gold itself.

Gabriella is doing what she does best. Making sure our MC never kicks the bucket too hard.
