Little happiness,

Hi my little dairy, do you know why did I name you as little happiness? It's because you are the only mean of my little smile during this hard time. Today is the first time I m writing something on you. I met you first time months ago when one of my friends gifted you to my life. I really never thought I m gonna use you but today you are the biggest need of my life. Today it's been just day 1 to the lockdown and I'm already bored with the gadgets. I want my dairy entry to be read by the next generations and want them to know the importance of independence as per viewing today's conditions I know the impact of electronic gadgets on the future generation but I still want them to realize what a person goes through when he is caged up in his own golden fascinated house. History is the teacher of present and I hope the mistakes which were been done by us don't get repeated by the next generations.

There seems complete silence in the play grounds and roads. Even if a Glass falls from my hand it gives me a strange feeling, everyone in my house stares me in such a way that I m the faulty one to destroy the peace of the world. I named you as little happiness because when I found you I felt as you are the only one who can comfort me in such a suffocating time and give me a little light of smile. All over the world people are talking about a single topic "COVID-19". Everywhere in news we see the advertisements of sanitizations. Do you know WHY it is so? What is COVID-19? Why is it disturbing our lives? , There are endless questions which are coming in everyone's minds, Many of us are even not aware of what is covid-19....Highlighting all these points and keeping them in mind I m writing my thoughts on you, so that each and every Person of this world remembers that there was a invisible opponent which was kicked away from the earth because of our Unity.

What about jobs??

Little happiness,

Today my brother was too playfull when he got up but as the sun started setting down he started getting upset. I asked him the reason for his sadness so he replied that one of his friend's dads has lost his job because of this pandemic and his friend was crying a lot. This Pandemic has become a huge difficulty for all the job holders. They couldn't go to their offices because of which there was a shortage in their salaries. After some time the medium of work from home was started many labors had lost their jobs in this lockdown. They had to walk on feet with their family for miles and miles to reach their homes. On the warm burning roads it might be a really difficult situation for them but even in this curtail period many soul hearted people were alive they helped them getting food, water, travelling facilities, sleeping facilities, money and many more things. The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered one of the worst jobs crises since the Great Depression. There is a real danger that the crisis will increase poverty and widen inequalities, with the impact felt for years to come. Countries now need to do everything they can to stop this jobs crisis from turning into a social crisis. Reconstructing a better and more resilient labor market is an essential investment in the future and in future generations.

LOCKDOWN

26TH April, 2020

9:05 pm

Little happiness,

It's been 1 month to the lockdown and I'm bored. I feel as I m the flying bird that is suddenly caught and locked up in a golden cage. The cage is completely made up of Gold, the food containers are made up of gold, and all facilities are provided. But the little bird doesn't want them the little bird just wants to enhance her wings and fly away. She wants to sing freely in the open sky she wants to kiss the clouds and fly high. She is dreaming about this all and soon realizes that she is in the cage. The whole world has come to a standstill, and the reason is the pandemic COVID-19. All of a sudden, it seems we are a part of a horror movie. The villainous coronavirus is killing thousands of people, and we are just praying for help to god. The situation has given us a chance to look at things divergently. In the beginning, this lockdown was considered as holidays by some children, like me. I think this situation is relatable to many of the readers. Once the lockdown got extended, it has made us realize the value of attending schools. These hard times are teaching us the value of everyday food items like fruits, vegetables, and groceries in our lives. They have become so valuable that nowadays they are not readily available. We are learning to manage ourselves with limited resources. We have learned to respect our farmers and the vendors who are bringing these essentials to our doorsteps. We have realized that we should never waste food because many people are unable to have even a single meal during this lockdown period. It has also taught us life beyond junk food as now we know that delicious food can be cooked at home too. Lockdown taught us many more things it taught us that life is about not only studies, TV, and games. It is about sharing and standing with each other during any phase of life. We have also got a chance to know about our parent's childhood days, watching Ramayana, Mahabharata, etc. Parents have also taught us the value of money, and how necessary it is to save money for rainy days. They told me about their past days when 10 rupees were very-very much enough as their pocket monies they said that during those days they used to buy stationeries, cloths and used to do parties out of those 10 rupees.

UNSUNG HEROS

Little happiness

I m very upset today because I haven't met my dad since past couple of months. Do you know why? It is because my Father is in Army. He shivers in the cold so that people of the country can sleep peacefully in nights. He stays away from his family so that the people stay away from fights. This pandemic is just as a coin. On one side of the coin Millions of people are losing their lives and on the other side there seems a little shine of life amongst our Nature. It is said there is not a bigger joy than helping others in distressed times. Whether the times are good or bad, there is someone out there trying to help those in need. And, even during such testing times, stories emerged where some were hailed as heroes, warriors and even saviors. In this typical period when we can't understand what to do and what not to do, there is still a brightness of hope alive between us. When we are sitting inside our homes, there are people who are staying away from their own families and saving our lives. When a corona patient is lying on the bed wanting the hand of his family member at that time a doctor holds his hand. When we are sleeping in AC rooms a police man works for us even without a fan. There are scientists who keep preparing vaccines for us day and night without even thinking that if they are affected by the virus what will happen? There are Grocery store workers who are not allowing us to stay empty stomach and full filling our daily requirements time to time. And of course not forgetting the people who are cleaning our streets and providing us with a clean and healthy Environment. Salute to all these unsung heroes. Thank you Corona Warriors. For protecting us and making we realized that you are here in our protection so we don't need to scare at all. This pandemic is just as a coin. Teachers are the guiding light in this vast sea of arrogance, ignorance, misbelieves, helplessness and illiteracy. At times, teachers also feel lost into the wilderness of half baked knowledge and rigid attitude of the stakeholders. Their confidence is shaken by the bouts of blows from unexpected changes in their environment. Even then, the teachers, the enlightened Gurus find their way out with their torch on by virtue of their vast experience and utmost desire to help their disciples and society at large. The Covid-19 pandemic has shaken the very roots of the education system. Till this global pandemic, we have been talking to our students, mentoring them and tutoring them using chalk and board in the class rooms. And suddenly we were awakened to a new normal when we were asked to connect to our students using means such as WhatsApp, virtual classes, online classes using platforms like Google Zoom and Webex, and mobile applications etc.

Police man were very harsh during the pandemic according to the people but do you know for whom they were so protective? On March 24, 2020, the Indian government announced that all individuals within its borders should remain at home for 21 days. The University of Oxford's Covid-19 Government Response Tracker reports that India's response is among the most stringent in the world, and affects 1.3 billion people. The lockdown measures, which were later extended, are highly restrictive, allowing for only essential movements of individuals outside their homes. Its immediate impact was visible from the large-scale movement of the seasonal migrant laborers, compelled to flee the cities where they work for the safety of their rural homes.

Additionally, there is another important, but less visible, aspect of the Covid-19 lockdown: the social service function of the police. All throughout India, local police agencies are tasked with enforcing social distancing, but their activities are much broader. The police are a primary port of access to State services, and the lockdown brings officers into regular contact with citizens needing urgent assistance. Police officers are also at the forefront of India's public health campaign, providing information and essential supplies. How the police perform this vital function demands far more attention from researchers; policymakers would do well to devote more resources and training to these activities.

While on one hand people across India and around the globe are largely confined to their homes with businesses and educational institutions all shut down in an attempt to contain the virus, and on the other hand doctors, health-care workers, and medical staff members are leading the battle against COVID-19 from the front. Putting their own lives at risk with selfless determination for the sake of saving lives, they truly are our heroes in these challenging times. While they are putting their own health, families, and most importantly their own lives at risk, the least we can do is appreciate their efforts and cooperate by staying safe indoors. That being said, it is good to see tributes pouring in for all the medical heroes working in scrubs. On occasion of the Doctors' Day (March 30, 2020 USA and Australia), the stories of the medical heroes are inspiring and heartbreaking at the same time.

Doctors, Health-care Workers and Fight against COVID-19

Needless to say, doctors, nurses and people working in health-care sectors are particularly vulnerable to the highly infectious disease. In response to the global pandemic, the under-resourced doctors are facing unprecedented challenges. The list of the sleep-deprived heroes includes doctors, nurses, medical cleaners, pathologists, paramedics, ambulance drivers, and health-care administrators. In the fight against coronavirus, the brave medical army stands strong with thermometers, stethoscopes, and ventilators as their weapons. Not to forget, medical researchers are working day in and night out against all odds, hoping to find the antidote to the disease.

Since the coronavirus outbreak, health-care professionals have not only experienced the gratification of healing patients and saving their lives but have also lost many battles along the way. On top of that, many doctors have even sacrificed their own lives in the line of duty. Every day, the selfless warriors are giving it their all in health-care settings while cutting themselves off from their families and loved ones. The sacrifice that they are making for the safety and welfare of humanity is priceless and deserves lifelong gratitude on our end. Most importantly, we must reassess the value health-care workers hold in our lives and the kind of treatment they get from us. Among the several lessons this coronavirus pandemic has been teaching us, the biggest one is to find ways to sufficiently invest in the better and more efficient medical fraternity and give medical professionals the respect, compensation and infrastructure that they truly deserve once this crisis is over. Moreover, the world needs to work towards advancement in medical research and technology. Nothing will be a greater tribute to the health-care workers than this.

That being said, we'd now like to highlight the heroic efforts of some courageous and inspiring doctors from across the globe who lost their lives while saving the lives of COVID-19 patients

.CHANGE IN STUDENTS LIFE

Little Happiness

I m tired of these online classes, when my Art classes gets over my music classes begin when my music classes gets over my taekwondo classes begin and when my taekwondo classes begin my hip-hop classes starts. Hhh.. Sitting in front of the same laptop in the same room is quit boring and exhausting. The worldwide lockdowns because of the global pandemic have affected many important sectors adversely; one of them is the education sector.

The pandemic forces schools, colleges and universities to shut abruptly which exposed students to online learning.

The changes of classroom to digital learning at the outbreak of pandemic disturbed the learning of children in low-income areas around the world. The families who could not afford smart-phones, Wi-Fi, computers or laptops were at immediate disadvantage.

There seems a huge change in educational life. No bags filled with heavy books are seemed now, No lunch boxes, no water bottles, no sports. In this lockdown we have found a new way of education "online classes." It shows the power of education, everything can be locked inside but knowledge can't be. Because of these online medium of classes students have gained a heavy knowledge related to technology. Students have learned a lot of things that were even not known by the software engineers. This online duration was not indeed easy for students, but our hard work finally effected and gave a very bright future to our country. In this lockdown we have many new young Authors and software engineers. Online medium gave a chance to all the students to enhance their creative and imaginative skills. Now parents are not stopping their wards from watching phones/laptops. There are many applications like BYJU'S and Vedantu through which children can study by their shelves comfortably sitting at home.

These online classes have become a medium of fun for many students like now a day many students just switch off their microphones and cameras and just keep roaming here and there. Many students have even owned the medium of cheating now a day. Covid-19 was just like a coin even in the educational field which had 2 sides of it. One side the wings of new creative minds got incredible and took a high flight and on the other side online games destroyed the future of many children. its outbreak in late December 2019, COVID-19 has wreaked havoc across the world and like any critical sector, education has been hit hard. Students, schools, colleges and universities have been deeply impacted. According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), over 800 million learners from around the world have been affected, 1 in 5 learners cannot attend school, 1 in 4 cannot attend higher education classes, and over 102 countries have ordered nationwide school closures while 11 have implemented localised school closure.

Globally, over 200,000 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in more than 160 countries, which have resulted in more than 8,000 deaths and left several States dealing with severe outbreaks. The COVID-19 pandemic will adversely impact the progress some governments were making around increasing the education budget. Therefore, this is a crisis that requires urgent attention and collective action by all Governments, stakeholders and communities.

Each day millions of children do not go to school due to emergencies and ongoing humanitarian crises. The outbreak of COVI-19 has compounded the plight of learners in countries affected and or emerging from conflict and disaster. While the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) acknowledges the public health decision to close schools, we believe that contingency plans should be in place to ensure the right to education even in times of crisis. GCE is convinced that all learners no matter where they live and circumstances have a right to education. Education is an essential right for children, young and adults in emergencies and must be a priority from the very beginning of any and all emergency responses.

"Governments and civil society concerted efforts that mobilise resources, and expertise to address the impact of COVID-19 on education is urgently required. This process should include developing long term strategies to address the needs of education in emergencies" Grant Kasowanjete, GCE Global Coordinator.

Refat Sabbah, GCE President, further added: "All GCE members around the world, INGOs, regional networks and national education coalitions, stand in solidarity to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. GCE reaffirms its willingness to work in close collaboration with governments and world leaders to find appropriate solutions and mitigating measures to ensure the right to education throughout these challenging times."

MASK AND SANITIZERS

2nd June, 2020

Saturday

Little Happiness

There is a huge increase in the production of mask and Sanitizers although the full pathophysiology of COVID-19 was not known, droplet and contract transmission were believed to be the major transmission route. Wearing a mask was a simple way to prevent viral transmission and decrease disease spread, but the public attitude toward masks varied across countries. The World Health Organization's recommendation of mask use also varied from time to time. A recent systematic review and meta-analysis showed a significantly lower risk of viral transmission by maintaining a physical distance of 1 meter or more (pooled adjusted odds ratio [aOR] 0.18). Mask and eye protection use also resulted in a large reduction in the risk of infection (mask use: aOR 0.15; eye protection: aOR 0.22). Additionally, the use of masks by all residents was a key component to successfully combat COVID-19 and may have reduced fear and anxiety. Briefly, although these customary strategies may have marginal benefits based on current evidence, experts recommend their use during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the effectiveness of these strategies on other respiratory infections apart from SARS-CoV-2 remains largely unclear. Jefferson et al investigated the effectiveness of physical interventions to reduce the spread of respiratory viruses in their 2011 study and found that wearing masks and hand hygiene were effective against viral transmission; social distancing was not. Barasheed et al explored uptake and effectiveness of masks during mass gatherings in 2016; they found a pooled protective effectiveness with a relative risk of 0.89, but an extremely wide range in the uptake of masks was reported (0.02%-92.8%). The effectiveness of these traditional strategies and public compliance was not fully disclosed. Good hand hygiene is paramount to good health and is one of the simplest ways to reduce one's risk of getting sick. Ever since the inception of the pandemic, hand sanitizers have become all the rage. It is a convenient alternative to washing hands with soap and water. It is quick and portable, especially when there is no running water nearby.

The active ingredient in hand sanitizers is often a form of alcohol, such as ethyl alcohol working as an antiseptic. Although antibiotics are effective against bacteria, using hand sanitizers only significantly lowers one's resistance to diseases by killing good bacteria, which helps protect against pathogens.

Excess usage of sanitizers not only leads to alcohol poisoning but also induces intoxication when it comes in contact with eyes and mouth, which in turn weakens the immune system. As companies are not required to disclose the ingredients that make up their secret fragrances, scented sanitizers are highly likely to be loaded with toxic chemicals. Synthetic fragrances contain phthalates, which are endocrine disrupters that mimic hormones and could also alter genital development.

Alcohol is a skin irritant, which disrupts one's natural oil production causing both dry and flaky skin. Over time, alcohols disrupt the natural barrier function, reducing the skin's ability to protect itself, and leading to accelerated aging as a result of increased dehydration.

Washing hands is traditionally superior to using hand sanitizer since soap lifts dirt, germs, and oil off grimy hands to provide a better, overall cleansing, unlike sanitizers, which do not eliminate pesticides and other chemical residues. Hand sanitizers only offer a short-term solution and quickly smearing an ethanol-based liquid would not kill cold and flu bugs either. They are a good temporary stand-in, in case of unavailability of soap and water.

As a complementary habit, sanitizers are most effective when used alongside frequent hand-washing and physical distancing measures. While hand sanitizers can be the saviors on-the-go and prevent the spread of many pathogens, they cannot be considered as a frontline defense.

CHANGE IN DAILY LIFE ROUTIEN

Little Happiness

Pandamic has totally changed the life routines for everyone around the world. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives. Governments are taking precautionary measures to spread this infection of novel corona virus. In this emerging society one thing is also evolving which is our Education system.

Colleges, Universities and schools are closed with no certainty to when it will be open. Though there is need to adopt new changes in education system. Technology has become the life saver for the students in this time. There are several set of guidelines and plans issued by the government. The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) and Central Board of secondary Education (CBSE) for this purpose. Online classes, entrance tests, Boards examinations, admissions, competitive examinations are the new normal for India. E leanings are the new sources for both students and teachers. The sources which are strictly prohibited to be brought up in the schools and colleges are now the only medium through which teachers can interact with their students.

The lecture videos, digital edition of textbook and links to the other study material have been provided to all the students. E- Learning found out to be more flexible to the students to grab the knowledge. With the proper utilization of technology one can learn and grow during this pandemic situation. Though only the private sectors have the facilities to provide E-learning to the children. The government schools are still not having that measures through which they can provide each and every student the facility of E-learning. However apart from learning many other things also developed among the students like working for the companies, doing online internships.

Content writing, web developers, data entry managements, social media management are opening work online. These online platforms help the students to explore their potentials that by the end of their courses they will end up finding jobs and working experiences. This online mode of education is a great solution to fill the void space between the teachers and students due to this virus spread. The only Best Thing which happened in the lockdown was we understood the value of someone else's smile. During our busy life routines we had forgotten that we have someone left in the house that is continuously looking for us, we had forgotten that our children are weak in Mathematics and need our help in completing their home works, we had forgotten those sips of coffee with our parents, we forgot that someone in the house is very sick and need us aside. This Pandemic made us meet the person we had lost behind. Many of us tried to find our very own hidden talents. There were millions of new dancers, singers, volggers, writers, painters, gymnasts and fighters.

Lockdown even gave a rose to many new chefs who believe in breaking more than baking. No one can believe such a life destroying pandemic left little smiles behind it.

IMPACTS OF PANDAMIC ON NATURE

Pandemic

In a matter of years, the world has totally changed; an invisible virus has totally changed our lives. Millions of people have lost their lives and Billons or more have fallen ill. Corona virus that was previously unknown before appearing in the city of Wuhan, China is been totally spread around the world. People are told to stay at home and follow the lockdown strictly. Italy, the most extensive travel restrictions are in place since world war two.Everyone is told to practice social distancing. It is all aimed at controlling the spread of Covid-19, and hopefully reducing the death toll. But all these changes have also led to some unexpected consequences. For example Industries, factories and transport network have closed down; it has brought a sudden drop in carbon emissions. Compared with this time 2019, levels of pollution in New York have reduced by nearly 50% because of measure to control the virus . According to world economic forum 47% of the world population is going to experience water scarcity by 2030 because demands for water have never been as great as it is today. Every day minimum 2-3 liters of water is used to wash hands by a single person who is leading to the lack of water for future. In the event of a severe pandemic, absenteeism would increase from illness, the fear of infection, and the need to care for ill family members. This absenteeism could affect drinking water and wastewater system operators and their capability to operate and maintain their systems adequately, thereby increasing the risks to essential and interdependent sectors such as the transportation, power and chemical sectors. It can have an adverse impact on services such as delivery of chemicals and other essential materials and supplies. But if we look at the other side of coin Corona virus has shown a good impact on water of Venice, Italy. With tourists no. decreased because of the virus, the waters in Venice's canal are cleaner than they have been, so much so , in fact , that fish can be once again seen in the canals. As same in India the health of Ganga River has seen significant improvement. The water quality around 27 points suitable for bathing and become less toxic then before. According to the KHAAMA PRESS Corona virus is also living a good impact on animals such as Olive Ridley Sea Turtle. India going into lockdown, along the coast of the eastern state of Odisha, over 475,000 endangered Olive Ridley Sea Turtles had come ashore to dig their nest and lay eggs. GREEN GAS EMISSION: Slowing economic activities because of Corona virus has also brought down emission as countries ordered closedown of schools, factories, industries and emissions are expected to fall. A study by specialist outlet Carbon brief found that in China, carbon dioxide emissions have fallen by around 25 percent than before.
