Chapter 2 Terrible Neighborhood

Seconds passed turning into minutes, minutes became hours as the clear night sky slowly turned brighter and the cold night wind gradually became warmer marking the end of Fang's first night in the wilderness. The nights in the wilderness were not only cold but extremely dangerous to the point that if the mysterious red eye did not transport him to a relatively isolated area he would've been killed without even knowing how he died. at the crack of dawn, the various beasts that preferred to hunt during daytime awoke from their slumber with high hopes of obtaining a scrumptious meal to fill their stomachs.

Fang's old habit of sleeping in regardless of how hot or cold the weather was prevented him from waking up early in the morning to survey his surroundings which could very well cost him his life, various beasts and wildlife passed by Fang's sleeping body but luckily for him, they were nothing more than herbivores or else he would've become their breakfast. Although Fang was safe for the time being a large gathering of herbivores would undoubtedly attract a pack of hungry vicious beasts which could easily tear him limb from limb. The sun shone brightly in the middle of the vast blue sky without a single cloud in sight signalling that it was already noon, the original corpse that laid peacefully against a gigantic tree finally showed signs of life as it sluggishly rose from the ground and leaned against the tree in a manner that suggested that it was still incredibly tired, ''huh? where am I, where's my room and all my stuff?'' Fang grabbed his forehead and tried to recall what had happened the previous night but as soon his foggy eyes cleared up he saw the vast number of massive trees that were covering his entire line of sight. The scene of the mysterious red eye that appeared on his screen and transported him to this place replayed itself in his mind over and over again.

Deep down Fang desperately wished for what happened the previous night to have been nothing more than a bad dream because how could a weak introvert like himself possibly hope to survive in such a place let alone fight with the beasts for various resources such as food and water. Fang cursed his terrible luck and that mysterious eye for a few minutes before calming himself down and thinking of what his next step should be, ''there are far too many things that I don't know about this place to be able to come up with any strategies so the most logical thing to do is to first cautiously scout the area within at most an 8-10 km radius to be at least informed about what I'll be dealing with in this world.''

Fang pondered on what to do for a while until a bizarre thought managed to find its way into his subconscious which sparked a tiny flame of hope in his heart _what if other people got sucked into this world besides me' the instant the flames of hope are lit it's almost impossible to extinguish. The more Fang thought about it the more possible this theory became, with the billions of people residing on earth not to mention his city it can't have been only him who had been using his computer at that time and it was even more unlikely to think that he was some kind of specially chosen one because if he was being honest with himself he knows that besides his handsome face and slim body he has nothing else going for him.

After pondering on the idea of there being more summed people in this world he decided to throw the idea to the back of his head and if he runs into another human being in this world he'll try to get along with them to the best of his ability.

Fang looked up into the vast blue sky and let out a heartfelt sigh that seemed to contain his deepest emotions that he was trying his best to suppress in his heart before steeling his resolve to live causing all the hair on his body to stand on edge in response to the unknown dangers that roamed the incredibly large forest ''it's time to head out, whether I live or die depends on the completion of this mission'' with a strong resolve Fang headed out into the trees that covered the north gradually disappearing into the dark shade that was created by the incredibly large trees with each of his step carrying a large amount of reluctance.

Fang walked only a few meters before he saw several footprints that belonged to a variety of different beasts. Some of the footprints were only about the size of a human's palm while these footprints would cause his spine to shiver uncontrollably but when compared to the other footprint they seemed like nothing to be taken seriously. The other footprints varied greatly in both size, shape and design causing people to be unable to tell the actual size of the beasts. But the footprints that truly scared Fang shitless was the giant footprints that were imprinted deep with the earth causing Fang to wonder what kind of monster could make such horrific footprints, after closer observation, it was obvious that the footprints are still fresh indicating that the beast hoard had passed by very recently most likely will he was sleeping, as the thought reached his brain Fang cursed at himself for being a heavy sleeper.

Fang stood in his place without moving as he analyzed the footprints that were chaotically littered across the ground before making his conclusion 'it seems that if I still want to keep my life I'll have to find a better place to live causing staying too close to the ground is far too risky if I keep being reckless I'll die without knowing how I died' Fang recalled to his reckless behaviour in the past, shook his head in embarrassment, dusted his black tracksuit and continuing his exploration in the opposite direction. The tracksuits immediately during his travelling when he saw an 8-meter tall silver bear heading towards his direction he swiftly decided to stick close to a tree that was next to him then covered his nose and mouth with his right hand to stop himself from breathing and planned to wait for the bear to pass by him before making any kind of escape attempt.

The silver bear halted its movement under a spot of light from the sun that phased through the covering of the gigantic trees made it look very majestic, the silver bear although not possessing much intelligence had incredibly sharp senses and those senses were telling it that prey was nearby but it just couldn't pinpoint it's the exact location. The silver bear used its small beady eyes to search for its prey but quickly realized that it was useless since it couldn't see even a sliver of its prey's hair and stood on its hind legs, raising its head, pointed its nose into the sky and began searching for its prey's scent. After a few minutes of searching the silver bear revealed an almost human grin and stared directly at Fang's hiding spot.

Fang's face was extremely pale from the lack of oxygen and his heart was beating incredibly fast as if it was about to tear a hole through his chest, Fang was becoming incredibly impatient when he saw that the silver bear was showing no intention of leaving and instead was trying to pinpoint his location. Fang knew very well that if he tried to run the silver bear will easily catch up to him and devour him whole, that being the case Fang tried, by all means, to calm himself and think of ways to survive this ordeal but all his plans only ended in him being the silver bear's lunch. Fang steeled his heart and thought 'if push comes to shove I'll take my chances and climb this giant tree' although he had thought of a plan that may lead him out of this disaster he knew very well that he wasn't that great at climbing so he was very reluctant in putting his life in the hands of luck but when he saw the bizarre expression on the face of the silver bear coursed his heart to sink to the bottom of his stomach.

WOOHOO!!!

Just as the silver bear was about to rush to its prey a loud beast howl reverberated throughout the forest and caused the arrogant expression of the silver bear to disappear completely with only an expression of extreme fear taking its place. The bear sensed an extremely dangerous foe swiftly approaching its location and decided to flee as quickly as it could with its tail behind its legs.

Fang saw the fearful expression of the silver bear as it made its quick getaway on all four, within the shadows behind the giant trees stood a staggering 5-meter tall beast that was shrouded in the cover of darkness slowly advanced towards Fang. Fang couldn't tell what type of beast it was until the beast walk into the light spot where the silver bear stood and upon closer observation, the beast was a snow-white wolf that had silver eyes and radiated an aura of elegance. The wolf stared directly into Fang's eyes for a few minutes before dashing past him so quickly that he had no time to react, all he saw was a gorgeous sliver light that streaked past him and vanish a second later. At that moment the only thing in his mind was that beautiful silver light 'beautiful...no it's Divine'
