Upon hearing a report from the Ebon Keepers that they spotted the suspect near the palace, Captain Lynas left the camp despite the fact that it was long past midnight. Rushing toward the palace with some of the Ebon Keepers, they arrived near the palace walls in no time where one of the Ebon Keepers was waiting.
"Captain, the suspect went to the west of the capital," the soldier quickly informed Lynas and added, "Three of our own followed him and they will leave a clue for us to trace them. We should hurry."
Captain Lynas immediately thought of Commander Eloria's advice to seek the Second Prince's help if anything happened. However, it was such an emergency and he was also afraid that they would lose the suspect once again. As such, he decided to chase the suspect first and then inform the Second Prince about it later.
"Let's go," he said to his subordinates and they all rode their horses to the west to go after Jodicus Giff.
