"Yes?" Gideon and Victoria stared at the ascension ranked mages in the office with questioning looks, though they already knew why they were there.

"Sir Gideon, I'm sure you are aware of the death of the former commander." A minotaur wearing a military uniform said respectfully and Gideon nodded.

"We'll, we've been sent to invite you for the promotion ceremony of the new commander." Hearing this, Gideon nodded. They'd been waiting for this.

"Hmm, alright, when's the ceremony?" He asked and the other ascension ranked mage, a weird octopus being spoke.

"It's in three days sir. It will be taking place in the space station." Hearing this, Gideon and Victoria nodded.

"Well, although its definitely a big occasion, it doesn't really have anything to do with me so..." Gideon didn't finish but his meaning was clear, why did he have to attend?
