Kasavia's Shadows
The days flew by quickly, and the fear of being hunted was diminishing day by day. I was convinced we had killed the only people who had seen me using my powers, but the feeling of danger lingered in my mind, constantly keeping me on my toes.
After about a fortnight of sparring with Gwendolyn, I had started getting a hang of my powers. I couldn't completely use them on reflex, but it was just about good enough to let me exchange blows with Gwendolyn easily.
The rest of the Order had come to know about my abilities, much to my disappointment. I had intended on keeping them secret for as long as I was in Bernlit, but Fiona thought it would be better if the people knew so that in the case of a battle, they would know when to back away if necessary.
