Chapter 105 -- Most unentertaining fights

When Zane heard the names of the two fighters for the first semifinal match, be was relieved. Of course he was sad because Charlotte will be getting eliminated soon.

However it was better for her to be eliminated by her brother than for Zane to do it, Zane was the only one who thought it was better that way though.

"So how are we going to do this?" Charlotte said to Keith.

"We are going to go to the stage and fight" Keith shrugged like it was obvious.

"Really?, you're going to beat up your sweet little sister?" Charlotte said with a sweet smile and puppy eyes. Zane wanted to look away from her but instead ended up using more mana to see her in greater definition.

"Yes sweet little sister, I'm going to have to beat you up, but don't worry okay. I'll try not to accidentally kill you" Keith joked and Ken couldn't help but chuckle.

"Can the siblings please come on stage" Buck said after some time. It seemed that the nobles were discussing something, which caused a few minutes break between the fights.

Keith confidently stood up and strutted to the stage while a dejected Charlotte could be seen walking behind him. She knew that she didn't stand a sliver of a chance against Keith.

To make matters worse, even Zane pretend to be fixing his boots when she asked for some tips.

"Ready?" Buck asked. Keith nodded but Charlotte had something to say.

"So you will protect me if he tries to kill me right?" She asked seriously.

Buck was surprised at Charlotte's question but nodded in the end. He, just like the rest of the crowd thought that the two siblings probably had an argument at home.

"Fight!" Buck shouted and Keith immediately bolted towards Charlotte, throwing a punch. Charlotte wisely dodged to the side and retreated a few meters back.

She had an opening after dodging Keith's attack but didn't want to take any chances. She knew for a fact that Keith could easily tank a hit from her.

However, unfortunately she couldn't do the same. Due to this Charlotte decided not to attack or block unless she is certain of getting away in time.

Keith dashed after Charlotte and threw a flying kick towards her face, Charlotte evaded the kick buy ducking under it and kicking the one leg of Keith's that was on the ground.

Keith fell to the ground but Charlotte wisely didn't follow up, instead she ran away and stood a good distance away from her brother.

Keith stood up and smirked at the fact that Charlotte was afraid of attacking. He then slowly walked towards her while Charlotte retreated back.

"Stop!" Ken shouted. Charlotte was slightly surprised by the shout and glai behind her to see that she was one step away from falling off the stage.

Seeing that Charlotte was backed into a corner, Keith stopped and motioned for her to step closer, Charlotte was hesitant but moved closer in the end.

The crowd was visibly disappointed, this was by far the most unentertaining fight of the tournament. Buck even closed his eyes and started making snoring sounds.

He obviously wasn't asleep but his little show amused the nobles in the stands. The sorry excuse for a fight continued with Keith going easy on his sister and Charlotte dodging everything that came her way.

That was until Charlotte made a mistake and was caught by Keith's kick, which sent her sprawling onto the ground. Unlike what the spectators thought, Keith walked up to her and held her throat as he lifted her up with one hand.

Charlotte was about to kick Keith away when her wind was literally punched out of her lungs. Before she could even recover Keith delivered a full powered punch to her face, which sent her flying off the stage.

To the shock of everyone in the building, Charlotte didn't fall to the floor after that, instead she was caught by someone, a white haired someone.

Ken was especially surprised to see Zane across the room. He could swear Zane was just sitted next to him a few seconds ago, however right now Zane was holding Charlotte in his hands, pretending to pour a healing tonic into her mouth, she was obviously unconscious.

Zane carried Charlotte bridal style to their bench. The nobles weren't surprised that Zane would do that for Charlotte, they were surprised at his speed. Being High Mages themselves, they obviously saw Zane run around the stage and his speed impressed them greatly.

"How could you do this?" Zane asked Keith calmly when he got to the bench.

"It was a fight Zane" Keith brushed it off.

"Did you have to hurt her face though?" Zane said looking at the deep gash on Charlotte's cheek.

"Well i knew you would heal him soon enough anyway" Keith shrugged.

Zane didn't say anything and instead just gently put Charlotte on her chair. Then he smirked and looked at Keith "I have a feeling the final round will be explosive" he said before walking up the stage.

Keith smiled at Zane's words, it was obvious that he was threatening to beat up Keith during the final match.

Zane walked up to the stage and the young man who had won the three way match was already there, waiting for him.

"Ready?" Buck asked and both fighters nodded.

The man wasn't the least bit worried about going up against Zane. After all, Zane trained for only a month while he was training for over ten months for this very moment.

"Fight!" Buck shouted.

"Give up now, this is a waste of time you don't stand a chance" It would be normal if these words came from the young man, however they came from Zane.

"Didn't Keith teach you a thing or two about arrogance Zane?" the man asked.

"There is a difference between arrogance and confidence....Huh they rhyme. Arrogance, Confidence" Zane muttered.

The man didn't waste any more time and charged towards Zane before throwing a right hook. Zane dodged the attack and delivered a punch of his own.

BANG!.

The speed of Zane's punch was on another level, the man couldn't even react before he was sent flying, landing a few meters away with a resounding thud. Needless to say a few mouths from the nobles table hung open.

The man quickly got up, expecting Zane to follow up on his attack but Zane surprisingly didn't, he just stood there casually.

"Give up" he said.

Of course the man didn't listen to him and stood up with his stance ready. Zane sighed and walked up to the man and threw a punch, the man used his forearm to block but was still pushed back.

Before he could even regain his bearings Zane punched once more, sending the man flying. As the man struggled to stand, Zane walked to him and kicked his stomach, causing him to cough up a mouthful of blood... straight onto Zane's white trousers.

"Ohh fuck!, look what you did" Zane shouted before kicking the man's face with his other foot, sending the man flying off the stage, unconscious.
