Kia's eyes widened in surprise. He looked around, wondering if anyone else had heard it. "Did you just...?" he began to say, but was interrupted by Logan, again without his mouth moving.

"I can connect you to my system. It's one of the functions." Logan's voice echoed in Kia's head, which was strangely terrifying.

Kia looked visibly shaken. "What is this? How are you doing that?" he asked.

This time, Logan spoke out loud. "I don't understand how it works yet. I got mine a week ago, but it wasn't activated until the apocalypse started. When did you get yours?"

Kia fumbled with words, trying to recall when he had found the system. "Two or three days ago, a day before I found out about the apocalypse," he said.

Logan's expression turned stern as he got lost in his own thoughts, while Kia just continued to stare at him, still trying to process everything.
