chapter 13

Rick's finger hovered over the activation button of the Reality Remixer, his manic grin widening as he observed the Avengers' charge. The chaos of the expo intensified as panicked attendees scrambled for cover, their screams echoing through the hall.

"Oh, this is gonna be fun!" Rick cackled, his finger twitching with anticipation.

But before he could press the button, a web wrapped around his wrist, yanking the Reality Remixer from his grasp. Spider-Man swung in from the rafters, his eyes narrowed with determination.

"Sorry to spoil your fun, Rick," he quipped, landing gracefully on the stage. "But we've got a reality to protect."

Rick snarled, his amusement turning to fury. He lunged at Spider-Man, his fists balled in anger. But the web-slinger was too agile, dodging and weaving with ease.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Avengers had reached the stage, each engaging in a fierce battle with Rick's robotic security guards. Captain America deflected laser blasts with his vibranium shield, while Iron Man unleashed a barrage of repulsor rays. Thor swung Mjolnir with thunderous force, sending robots flying, and Hulk smashed through them like bowling pins. Black Widow and Hawkeye, experts in hand-to-hand combat, took down their opponents with precise strikes and agile maneuvers.

The battle raged on, the stage a whirlwind of metal, energy, and chaos. Rick, outnumbered and outmatched, resorted to his last resort. He pulled out a portable portal device and activated it, creating a swirling vortex of energy.

"I'm outta here, losers!" he shouted, diving headfirst into the portal.

Spider-Man, seeing his opportunity, webbed the Reality Remixer to his back and followed Rick into the portal, leaving the rest of the Avengers to deal with the remaining security guards.

The portal transported them to a bizarre dimension, a kaleidoscope of colors and warped landscapes. Gravity seemed to fluctuate, and strange creatures with multiple eyes and mismatched limbs scurried across the ground.

Rick, having landed unceremoniously on his face, quickly recovered and turned to face Spider-Man. "You think you're so clever, don't you, Webs?" he sneered. "But you're just a pawn in my game."

Spider-Man shot a web at Rick's feet, tripping him up. "Your game is over, Rick," he said, his voice firm. "It's time to face the consequences of your actions."

Rick snarled, struggling to break free from the web. "You can't stop me, Spider-Man! I'm a genius! I'll always find a way to win!"

Spider-Man tightened the web, immobilizing Rick completely. "Maybe so," he said. "But this time, you're not playing by your own rules."
